Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this era of modernization, where every aspect of life is dwelling to a newer perspective , the food intake choices have also become bewildered. A large number of individuals now prefer eating ready-made food or instant food instead of proper cooking. Where many people found in significant, there are some who reject this overall notion. This particular habit is not much appreciable so this essay will enlighten some of it's advantages and disadvantages.
First of all it is absurd not to say that convenience food is harmful. The half cooked, frozen and packaged edibles consist half of their nutrients actually needed. The procedure used to make it ready is always in bulk form and not solely given attention as compared to home food that is particularly given care.
Moreover, the hygiene is also compromised when manufacturing such meals. The cooking agents like oil that aids in overall gut health is not the perfect oil that is used to cook such items. Whereas, the home cooked fresh organic meal has better nutritional benefits . The oil used is healthy and does not compromise the heart health. People are relying more on frozen food resulting in poor intake and immune. The packaged food is also vulnerable to immunity because it can carry harmful bacteria for human body. Certain food family looses its nutrition when tend to freeze. Moreover, it is pertinent to mention that such meals appearance becomes undesirable to eat. It is also expensive as compared to the freshly made one.
Moving towards the advantages, we can say that its not solely harmful. In spite of its bad sides, it has few benefits such as time saver food. It is quite efficient to use such prepared food in short of time. There are some veggies and meat which van be frozen for sole purpose of later usage. For instance, a patient needs certain nutrients that are only found in peas ,so they can be frozen.
In my perspective, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages for processed items. The organic food provided by nature should be enjoyed instead of stuffing our system with unreliable intake.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of convenience food. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The disadvantages are discussed in detail, whereas the advantages are addressed briefly and lack depth. The position is clear, but the argument regarding the 'advantages' is slightly contradictory, as you acknowledge them but then immediately dismiss them in the conclusion. To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal weight and that your position is consistently maintained throughout the essay without undermining your own points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or awkward. For example, the transition 'First of all it is absurd not to say that' is unnatural and confusing. Additionally, some sentences lack logical flow, such as the sudden shift from discussing oil to mentioning 'immune' and 'bacteria'. While there is a clear progression from disadvantages to advantages, the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs to be smoother to ensure that ideas link together more logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations. Phrases like 'dwelling to a newer perspective', 'food intake choices have also become bewildered', and 'food family looses its nutrition' are non-standard and impede clarity. While you attempt to use more complex vocabulary, the lack of precision often results in confusion. To improve, focus on using words in their correct context and pay closer attention to standard collocations rather than attempting overly complex phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'food family looses'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'in short of time'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors is noticeable and occasionally distracts the reader. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and sentence construction will help improve your score in this area.
