Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, a large number of population rely on restaurants and convenience food rather than homemade food in their day to day life. In this essay, we are discussing about the advantages and disadvantages of this practice.
To begin with, in this fast moving world, everybody Is highly engaged with their work and responsibility. Most of the people are doing one to two jobs and their schedule is tightly packed. In this scenario, cooking food at home consume more time and energy. In order to make the life easier, people will rely on frozen and packed food in their daily life. Moreover, it is less expensive than buying groceries. Furthermore, this practice help us to safe the time spending in the kitchen.
In other hand, due to the current life style and food habits the health of the public is detoriating drastically. The packed and processed food have a negative impact over the health significantly in the long run. This food habit is one of the major reason for the life style diseases like obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure as well as cancer. This may leads to life threatening comditions like cardiovascular diseases.
To recapitulate, relying on ready-made food is a good option to making the life easier in this competitive world. However, it's long term effect is highly negative. If this trend continue, the people will become unhealthy and lethargic. Home cooked food have nutrition and no preservatives. I belive, Homemade food is always better than than the ready-made food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. The position is clear throughout, and the ideas are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the claim that convenience food is 'less expensive than buying groceries' is a broad assertion that lacks supporting evidence or nuance, as this is often debated. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis for each point mentioned. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, but the overall development remains at a general level rather than a fully extended one.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In other hand' (which should be 'On the other hand'). While the progression of ideas is generally logical, some transitions feel a bit mechanical. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and punctuation that slightly disrupt the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used with greater precision would help elevate the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'processed food', 'lifestyle diseases', and 'cardiovascular diseases'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'detoriating' (deteriorating) and 'comditions' (conditions), and some awkward phrasing like 'safe the time' (save time). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on fairly common words. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and ensure accurate spelling of key terms to demonstrate a higher level of lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('cooking food... consume', 'This food habit is... reason', 'Home cooked food have'), and article usage errors ('the life', 'the people'). Additionally, there are punctuation and word-order slips. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent proofreading for minor slips will help improve your accuracy.
