Student answer (Band 5.0)

Well Nowadays this trend is prevail all over the world. This World is More into convinence. They don't like to put effort in cooking. Most of the time mothers are ordering food, cooking frozen food.

Firstly it seems every mother is doing jobs. They might find less timing to cook at home. But fast food and frozen food cause a lot sickness in the coming generations.Obesety is also the result of this choice.

Moreover In my opinion parents should manage to cook home.parent can teach the basic cooking to their children.

We need to change this trend.Ee need to keep our generation healthy not only physically but also mentally. We have to give them food which is full of nutrients.we can not get it from frozen or junk food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 125 words. This significant under-length severely limits the development of ideas. While the prompt asks for both advantages and disadvantages, the response focuses almost exclusively on the negative aspects, such as health issues like 'obesety' and the need for home cooking. The advantages of convenience and time-saving are mentioned only briefly. Because the response is less than half the required length, the ideas are underdeveloped and the task is only partially addressed, resulting in a low score for this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Firstly' and 'Moreover', the paragraphing is inconsistent and the logical progression of ideas is weak. The sentences are often disjointed, and the transition between the benefits of convenience and the drawbacks of unhealthy eating is abrupt. There is no clear introduction or conclusion, which makes the overall flow difficult to follow. To improve, you should organize your essay into four distinct paragraphs: an introduction, one paragraph for advantages, one for disadvantages, and a conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'food' throughout the text. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'convinence' (convenience) and 'obesety' (obesity), which hinder clarity. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas about lifestyle trends or nutritional health. To achieve a higher band score, you need to incorporate more precise, topic-specific vocabulary related to health, nutrition, and modern lifestyle habits, and ensure that you check your spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is characterized by frequent errors in sentence structure, punctuation, and subject-verb agreement. For example, 'this trend is prevail' should be 'this trend is prevailing', and 'every mother is doing jobs' is awkward phrasing. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and commas. These errors are frequent and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense and article usage.
