Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, a growing number of individuals rely on restaurants and convenience food instead of home-cooked food to supply most of their meals. There are various advantages and disadvantages of this thread. In my opinion, I believe, that consuming packed food is much easier and affordable option and has many advantages.
On the one hand, there are various advantages of eating fozen and packed food. Firstly, individuals living far away from home left less time for preparing meals, as a result packaged foods are the best options for the people to save their time. Furthermore, another benefits of frozen food is it saves money, as frozen foods are very affordable so they save the money and people can choose the packages food from the grocery store according to their taste as plenty of options are available nowadays.
On the other hand, there are various negative aspects associated with the frozen foods. Firstly, as these items were packed by using the preservatives to increase its life so these chemicals are often caused damage to our health. Moreover, the more packaged items available in the market this will put negative effect on the environment as more garbage will be there. Additionally, packaged items makes the local fresh vegetables vendors on risk as less people consume fresh fruits and vegetables.
To conclude I believe that there are many disadvantages of eating packed items, but in this highly competative era the option of frozen items and wide variety of options availability these items are gaining more popularity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about environmental impact is mentioned but not fully explained, and the argument regarding local vendors is a bit vague. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6.0, as some points are under-developed and the conclusion does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'On the other hand' are used to link sentences and paragraphs. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing, such as in the sentence 'these chemicals are often caused damage', where the pronoun usage and sentence structure disrupt the flow. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the essay remains coherent throughout.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'competative' (spelled incorrectly) and 'preservatives'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'packaged items makes the local fresh vegetables vendors on risk' and 'these chemicals are often caused damage'. These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a limited range for higher band scores. More precise terminology would improve the quality of the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'another benefits of frozen food is it saves money' and 'the more packaged items available in the market this will put negative effect'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, specifically with unnecessary commas in the introduction. These errors occur throughout the text, though they rarely prevent the reader from understanding the intended message.
