Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about 'cost effectiveness' is supported by a weak example regarding noodles, and the discussion on health risks lacks depth. The conclusion is also very brief and does not effectively summarise the main points or provide a final thought. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure that the conclusion reflects the content of the essay more thoroughly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'Furthermore', and 'Consequently'. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'The top notch concrete reason is such type of meals'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved to create a more natural progression of ideas. The conclusion is abrupt and lacks a cohesive link to the preceding paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'multifarious', 'detrimental', and 'preservatives'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'running a rate race' (should be 'rat race'), 'unhygienic preparation which contains the bad oils and species' (likely meant 'spices'), and 'first choice of preference'. These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'every citizen is preferring' (should be 'prefers'), 'the aids in time saving option' (incorrect article and noun usage), and 'as take example of people dying' (should be 'take the example of'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with sentence fragments and awkward phrasing. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your accuracy.
