Student answer (Band 5.5)

Everybody is running after bread and butter. There are majority of people prefer ready to eat meals served by restaurants and convenience stores, rather than homemade meal. There are numerous advatages and disadvantages that are explicated in forthcoming paragraphs.

Although, there are plethora of benefits but the foremost is time saving. to explain it, nowadays everyone has hectic schedules, busy worklife, in this case if a person pick food from resorts and cafes, it saves thier time instead of easting it in cooking, they can utilize it to increase their productivity in thier work life. Additionaly, lots of people are willing to try variety of cousines, if they are taking frozen or restaurant's food then they are able to try variety of food everyday.

On the opposing side, there is a wide array of disadvantages of consuming frozen food, health issues are main problems behind this, to explicate, everyone knows that everybody knows that we have to eat fresh foold only to stay health but frozen food lost its nutritional valuees thats why it becomes a bad consumption for our health. Moreover, restaurants are using bbad quality vegetables and products for meals, its just to save more money. these kind of restaurants do no think about cutimer's health, ther are just looking to fill thier own pockets. For example, according to BBC news every 30% resorts out of 100% are focusing to save money istead of cutomers health.

In my opinion, a balance is required for this action, everybody should look for good quality of food either it is home cooked or purchased from anywhere else. Just focus on your health first.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of eating restaurant and convenience food. The writer maintains a clear position throughout and presents supporting ideas such as time-saving and health implications. However, the development of ideas tends to be somewhat repetitive and lacks depth in places. For instance, the discussion on health issues relies on sweeping claims without deeper elaboration. While the student attempts to provide an example, stating 'according to BBC news every 30% resorts out of 100% are focusing to save money', the argument remains slightly disjointed. Overall, the task is addressed competently, fitting the criteria for Band 6.0 where all parts are covered with relevant ideas, though some remain under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay has a recognizable overall arrangement with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, satisfying basic organizational requirements. Paragraphing is attempted, although paragraph breaks are slightly irregular in places, such as the missing space after the first sentence of the introduction ('...rather than homemade meal. There are...'). Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'On the opposing side' and frequent use of running clauses with comma splices instead of proper conjunctions. Referencing can also be unclear, as seen with pronouns like 'thier'. Progression is somewhat disjointed because sentences often jump abruptly from one thought to the next. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.0, where organization is present but cohesion is faulty and repetitive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range to communicate basic points, using phrases like 'hectic schedules', 'busy worklife', and 'nutritional values'. However, there are frequent spelling and word-choice errors that detract from the overall quality, including 'advatages', 'exlicated', 'easting' (instead of wasting or spending), 'cousines' (cuisines), 'foold', 'valuees', 'bbad', 'cutimer's', and 'istead'. While the writer attempts less common lexical items, inaccuracies are noticeable throughout the text. The lexical control aligns with a Band 5.0 score, characterized by a limited but minimally adequate range with noticeable spelling and morphological errors that occasionally demand extra attention from the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The text contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in sentence structure, such as run-on sentences and comma splices ('There are majority of people prefer...', '...busy worklife, in this case if a person pick food...'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also problematic ('everybody knows that everybody knows', 'stay health', 'lost its nutritional valuees'). Complex structures are often attempted but are frequently faulty. Because the frequency of errors is high and begins to impede smooth reading comprehension, this performance corresponds to a Band 5.0, where frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader.
