What are the advantages and disadvantages of eating this way?
Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dependency on the restaurants and consumption of frozen food is immensly popular among people instead of hand made and home cooked food. Athough, this trend has both positives and negative impacts.
Among numerous advantages, The biggest positive impact is that convenience food saves leisure time and hard earned money. Families do not have to waste 2-3 hours just for preparing the food and doing the grocery. Simuntaneously, families can spend quality time together. Also, there is no clean up cost and no taste issue. For instance, children and parents both can order different food depending on the taste of their tongue.
However, relying on the junk food have severe impacts on the health, a good example of this is obesity, diabetes and several kinds of allergies. Rarest of the rarest diseases are the result of eating street food. As soon as children are introduced with packed meals their growth of the brain is hindered and they are introduced with several kinds of diseases in their adoloscent age. On other hand, people lost their control over proteins, ingredients and flavours. All the minerals and the nutrients are in the hands of the cook including cleanliness and consumers are not aware of these essentials compenents of the food.
Concluding the whole argument, It is crystal clear that eating trends of individuals have both pros and cons, however negative impacts weight more than positive, therefore, people should be encouraged to prepare food at home and spend health lifestle afterwards. Grocery price should be brought down to encourage more crowd in the stores.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on restaurants and convenience food. The writer takes a clear position that negative impacts outweigh the positive ones. Ideas are extended with reasons and examples, such as mentioning obesity and diabetes for health drawbacks, and saving leisure time for advantages. However, some arguments lack deep development and border on sweeping generalizations, such as claiming that 'rarest of the rarest diseases are the result of eating street food.' Overall, the response fulfills the core requirements of Task Achievement well, leaning towards the Band 6 descriptor due to some under-developed ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, separating the introduction, advantages, disadvantages, and conclusion. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, transitional phrases like 'Simuntaneously' and 'On other hand' contain typographical and grammatical errors. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs could be smoother to enhance the logical progression of ideas. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow is occasionally disrupted by abrupt topic shifts between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'immensly popular', 'hard earned money', and 'adoloscent age'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('immensly', 'Simuntaneously', 'adoloscent', 'lifestle', 'compenents') and some awkward collocations like 'taste of their tongue'. Vocabulary choice is sufficient to convey the main points, but word-choice inaccuracies and spelling mistakes prevent the response from achieving a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional and subordinate clauses ('As soon as children are introduced with packed meals their growth...'). There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people lost their control', 'impacts weight more'), prepositions ('introduced with' instead of 'introduced to'), and missing articles. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they are frequent enough to demonstrate inconsistent control over complex grammatical structures.
