Student answer (Band 4.0)
The increase number of peopel depend on restaurtants and convenience food because they have not enough time to make thier at home.Eating food from restaurtant and convenience are not healthy and effect mentally. These type of food are made in dirty oil and unhealthly ingridents. Moreover,if we eat frozen food or packaged meals are not good for health and we do not about their expired date and which type of ingrident are include in food. From my perspective, home cooked meals are much better then these food.because the home cooked meals are healthy and the meals are cook in from of our eye and we know about which indridents are incluse in it.for example if a sport man person eat restaurtant food in their daliy life.he can not gain energy aur health benifits and had a chance of food poisioning. On the other side he eat hw cooked food he were health and gain alot of energy.because the home cooked food were made with clean hands and cleans place.Through my opinion, the home cooked meal are more goo for health rather then restaurtan and frozen food.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The student attempts to address the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of eating restaurant and convenience food versus home-cooked meals, mentioning health risks and freshness. However, the response is severely underdeveloped and falls significantly short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 182 words. This under-length impacts the overall development of ideas, leaving points about health effects and examples like a sports person only briefly stated without full extension. The position is generally clear, but the lack of sufficient length and detail restricts the score to a Band 4.0 according to the descriptors for tasks that do not meet the minimum word requirement and lack adequate idea extension.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The text lacks proper paragraphing, presented as a single dense block of text, which severely hinders the visual and logical progression of ideas. While the writer attempts to use basic cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other side', and 'For example', their application is mechanical and repetitive. Furthermore, referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult to follow the transitions between discussing the disadvantages of convenience food and the benefits of home cooking. Overall, the information and ideas are not arranged in a coherent manner, aligning best with a Band 4.0 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used throughout the response is basic and repetitive, with numerous spelling and word-choice errors that impede communication. Examples of vocabulary errors include 'peopel' for people, 'restaurtants' for restaurants, 'ingridents' for ingredients, and 'unhealthly' for unhealthy. The range of vocabulary is very limited and relies heavily on high-frequency words, often repeating the exact same terms multiple times such as 'home cooked food' and 'restaurtant food'. These persistent errors and the narrow lexical range place this response firmly within the Band 4.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical structures used are mostly simple and frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and tense usage, such as 'they have not enough time to make thier at home', 'Eating food from restaurtant and convenience are not healthy', and 'the home cooked meals are cook in from of our eye'. Complex structures are attempted but are generally inaccurate, and punctuation is largely neglected. These frequent errors cause strain for the reader and distort meaning at times, corresponding to a Band 4.0 performance.
