Many people believe that a large number of individuals depends on fast and frozen food as compared to home made food. There are some merits and demerits regarding this, that i discuss in forthcoming paragraphs.

To commence with the advantages of ready to eat food, the first and formost is it reduce the stress of making food after long day of working. To explain this, in today's era everyone is busy to earn bread and butter for their family members because living expenses are so high in present time. So, masses believe that convenience food cheeper, time saving and it hepls them to do more rest when they come home after work. According to the report of BBC 60% of population of Canada eat food from restaurants and feel happy and stress free. Hence, restaurants and convenience food have lot of pros for common people.

To conclude this, eating frozen food and packaged meals have both pros and cons. I opine that we can eat that kind of food due to work load but not on daily basis along with this we have to eat home made food and do some exercise and walk regularly.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on restaurants and convenience food, fulfilling the core requirements of the prompt. The writer presents a clear position throughout, culminating in a balanced personal opinion in the conclusion. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others, which is characteristic of this level. For instance, the discussion on health issues in the third paragraph is extended with specific consequences like heart diseases and high cholesterol, whereas the advantage regarding stress reduction in the second paragraph relies more heavily on general assertions rather than deep elaboration. To move toward higher bands, the writer should ensure that every main idea is equally supported with robust, detailed explanation and relevant examples rather than over-generalising.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into an introduction, body paragraphs addressing pros and cons separately, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct themes. Cohesive devices are employed to guide the reader, such as 'To commence with', 'On the contrary', and 'To conclude this', showing a logical flow of ideas. However, the cohesion sometimes feels mechanical or repetitive, and referencing within sentences can occasionally be awkward, such as the transition between clauses in 'There are some merits and demerits regarding this, that i discuss in forthcoming paragraphs.' To achieve a higher level of cohesion, the writer needs to integrate cohesive devices more flexibly and naturally, ensuring smoother transitions between sentences and ideas without relying on formulaic transition markers.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, demonstrating a sufficient range to communicate basic arguments about convenience food and health. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'preservatives', 'cholesterol', and 'work load', but these attempts are accompanied by notable inaccuracies in word choice, spelling, and word form. For example, 'formost' contains a spelling error, 'home made' is written as two words incorrectly, 'cheeper' is misspelled, and phrases like 'faces different kind of health problems' show minor collocation and grammatical-lexical issues. To reach a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, improve spelling consistency, and use less common lexical items with greater precision and stylistic awareness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writing exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating that the writer can construct compound and multi-clause sentences, such as 'So, masses believe that convenience food cheeper, time saving and it hepls them to do more rest when they come home after work.' There are several errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('ready to eat meals contains', 'individuals faces'), missing articles ('after long day of working'), and capitalization errors ('i'). Despite these errors, the meaning is rarely impeded, and communication remains clear. To progress to a higher level, the writer needs to increase grammatical accuracy, ensure proper verb-subject agreement, refine article usage, and produce a higher frequency of error-free complex sentences.
