Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, more and more people prefer eating at restaurants or buying convenience food such as frozen food and packaged meals, instead of cooking at home. Also, trend has several benefits including saving time and effort, but also has some negative effects on people"s life.
To begin with, There are numerous advantages of eating food at cafes and buying packaged meals. One of the main advantage is it saves time. Many people have busy work schedule due to which they do not have enough time to cook meals at home. Buying ready made food allows them to eat quickly rather than spending time on preparing meals. Another benefit is convenience because these meals are easily available in supermakets and restaurants. For example, People buy them while returing to home after work. This heat in few mintues instead of preparing dinner from scratch. This makes their daily routine easier and less stressful.

Many fast-food items contain sugar, salt and unleathy fat which results in health issues like obesity when eaten frequently. In addition, Buying cooked meals daily can be more expensive rather than making at home. For instance, A person who order takeaway food several times a week may spend more money than someone who makes prepare food at home by using ingredients from supermarkets. Moreover, people who rarely cook may miss the opportunity to learn cooking skills.
In conclusion, Eating at restaurants and ordering frozen meals saves time and energy for busy people. However, ordering ready to eat meals daily can be more expensive and also effect people's health if they rely on them often. Therefore, i believe people should balance convenience food with nutritious home cooked items.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view: convenience food saves time, while frequent reliance on it can affect health and finances. The examples about busy workers and takeaway costs make the points relevant. This meets the task well, but the advantages are developed more fully than some disadvantages. For instance, the point that people may miss learning cooking skills is introduced without explaining why this matters or giving an example. Some claims, such as ready-made meals making routines “less stressful,” could also be supported more specifically. To strengthen the response further, explain the consequences of each main point and use examples that clearly distinguish restaurant meals from frozen or packaged food.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear four-part structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. Within paragraphs, ideas generally move from a main point to an explanation or example. Some linking is a little mechanical, however, and repeated openings such as “Another benefit” and “In addition” make the connections predictable. The example about heating food also follows the supermarket point somewhat abruptly. Use a wider range of natural links and make the relationship between each example and its supporting point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “convenience food,” “ready-made food,” “obesity,” “ingredients,” and “from scratch.” This gives you enough range to communicate the main ideas, but several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision. Examples include “supermakets,” “returing,” “unleathy,” and “mintues.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “restaurants food,” “effect people’s life,” and “makes prepare food.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your overall message, but they limit the accuracy and flexibility of your vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing cost, health, and food preparation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some longer structures, including “Many people have busy work schedule due to which they do not have enough time to cook meals at home.” The overall meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “One of the main advantage” needs a plural noun, and “A person who order” needs subject–verb agreement. In “This heat in few mintues,” the sentence is missing a clear subject and has an article/preposition problem. There are also punctuation and capitalisation slips, such as capitalising “There” after a comma and using “i” in the conclusion. Aim to check agreement, sentence completeness, articles, and punctuation while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
