Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowdays frozon food and fast food is an indispesnable part of person's life. There are number of People, who depends on restaurants and packaged foods, and their number are growing day by day. I personally affirm that it has merits and demerits, which i would like to explain in forthcoming paragraphs.

Disussing the advantages, today most of the people have a tremendous amount of stress at workplace. Sometimes, People finish their work at home, which gives them tiny amount of time to complete their houshold chores. For this reson, It is next to impossible for them to make a fresh food for ownself. So frozon food is extremely easy way or less time consuming to make it, which saves time for their family and any other activities. Moreover, it is really easy to find healthy foods at shop, which are not expensive as well as get it by delivery. So, people thinks that it is worth to spend time to evolve any skills instead of making food daily, because it helps alot to grow in life.

On the contrary, people do not need to rely on the menu of outside shop. If people want to eat anything for instance butter chicken, they will need to find stuffs to make it. Eventually, they can fulfill their craviing. Furthermore, people do not worry about the allergic reaction. Nowdays it is common to have allergic reaction from specific items like oil, peanut, etc. If person make a meal at home, they already know what they will not put into their meals.

In conclusion, Stress level and future perspective make people to buy the outside foods, which are common as well as beneficial in today's fast paced environment. On the other hand people need to depends on menu and high risk of allergic reaction.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give relevant reasons: convenience and time savings are presented as advantages, while control over ingredients and avoiding allergens are offered as disadvantages. The opening also signals that you will discuss merits and demerits. However, the discussion is only partly developed. For example, the claim that ready-made food leaves time to “evolve any skills” is not clearly explained, and the disadvantages focus mainly on home cooking rather than examining drawbacks of relying on restaurants and packaged meals, such as cost or nutritional concerns. The conclusion repeats the main points but does not sharpen your overall assessment. Develop each side with a clearer explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “On the contrary,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The shift from saving time to spending it on personal development is abrupt, and the second body paragraph begins with “people do not need to rely on the menu,” which does not clearly introduce a disadvantage of convenience food. Some connections are also mechanical, and the conclusion’s points are not fully aligned with the body discussion. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main idea, then connect each explanation and example directly to it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “packaged foods,” “workplace,” “household chores,” “allergic reaction,” and “fast-paced environment.” These choices make the general subject clear, and you attempt less common expressions such as “indispensable” and “fulfill their craving.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “Nowdays,” “frozon,” “indispesnable,” and “craviing.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “make a fresh food,” “tiny amount of time,” and “evolve any skills.” These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning natural collocations, especially for describing meal preparation, time pressure, and food choices.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “which,” “because,” and “If,” so there is some variety. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “There are number of People, who depends,” “people thinks,” and “people need to depends,” where articles, agreement, or verb forms are incorrect. Other patterns, such as “make a fresh food for ownself” and “If person make a meal,” show problems with articles and sentence construction. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly the unnecessary capitals in “People” and “It.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for articles and complete, clearly punctuated clauses.
