Student answer (Band 4.5)

people have diffrent view about wheather first frozen food and packaged meals are not convienience food and not rely on resturant or home cooked food are very most and healthy benificial for us.Is the better approach while both perspectives have their own merits. i believe that explain the benifit on conclusion of this view.

on the hand some people believe that frozen item is very healthy and esy to cook, neat and clean, but unfornatualy this is wrong thinking and iam not agree this point , frozen item are many days and month store in fridge, taste less, and unhealthy, oily, furthermore packaged meals also near to expiry, and we also dont know, when prepared, and when buy , fresh or expired too much bad things we discuss about frozen items.

on the other hand home cooked food is very delicious, healthy cooked nd less oil, manain good health, cholestrol, level, no any complication further future example if we eat frozen food, some time not better cooked, too much old, frozen, and we suffer abdominal pain, like feeling nausea, vomiting, feeling sick so my sueggestion and my advice as per fulll advanatages of home cooked food supply better, for good health, and prevent disease, healthy life style, fresh bake, fresh vegetables, fresh oil, free cholestrol oil, moreover doctor advice also eat fresh home cooked food.

In my conclusion people rely on resturant and convenine food( frozen food and packaged meals) are unhealthy too much, rather than home cooked food to supply most of their meals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You attempt to discuss both eating convenience food and home-cooked food, and your preference for home cooking is apparent, especially in the final paragraph. However, the task asks for the advantages and disadvantages of relying on restaurants and convenience meals, while the response mainly argues that frozen and packaged food is unhealthy and lists benefits of home cooking. The advantages of convenience food—such as saving time or being easy to obtain—are not meaningfully explained, and the disadvantages are asserted rather than supported with clear examples. The opening is difficult to interpret, so your position is not established clearly from the start. The response is also 12 words below the 250-word minimum; the 11 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both sides directly and add relevant explanation or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt at a basic essay structure: an opening, two body paragraphs signalled by “on the hand” and “on the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader recognise a change of focus. However, ideas within paragraphs are often presented as a list, and the relationship between them is not always clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from ease of cooking to storage, taste, health, and expiry without a clear sequence. The opening sentence is hard to follow, and the conclusion largely repeats the claim that convenience food is unhealthy rather than summarising a balanced answer. Use one paragraph for advantages and one for disadvantages, connect each reason to its explanation, and use clear referencing so the progression is easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “frozen food,” “packaged meals,” “home cooked food,” “expiry,” and “abdominal pain,” so the topic is recognisable. There are also attempts to express health effects and food qualities. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices that make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “convenine food,” “taste less,” and “free cholestrol oil.” Some phrases do not express the intended meaning clearly, including “full advantages of home cooked food supply better.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “time-saving,” “nutritious,” and “food poisoning” would help you explain the topic more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to form longer sentences and use linking clauses, for example with “furthermore” and “if,” but most sentence structures are very limited or incomplete, and errors frequently obscure meaning. The opening contains several clauses joined without a clear grammatical structure, while “I am not agree this point” shows problems with verb form and sentence construction. There are also recurring issues with articles, plurals, agreement, and punctuation; for instance, “frozen item are” does not show subject–verb agreement, and several sentences run together without full stops. These errors make it hard to follow some ideas. Practise writing clear subject–verb sentences first, then add one controlled subordinate clause, and proofread for sentence boundaries and agreement.
