Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic by describing convenience and several possible health disadvantages, and your conclusion repeats the main contrast that this way of eating is easy but may reduce energy. However, the task asks for both advantages and disadvantages, and the advantages are only briefly stated as avoiding effort and ordering easily. The disadvantages are also asserted rather than clearly explained: for example, “does not provide any energy” and “cholesterol level also increases” need accurate reasoning or a relevant example. Some points, such as children insisting on online orders and food advertising, describe why people choose these meals but do not fully explain their effects. Develop each side with specific, credible examples and make your overall view clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic overall shape: an opening, a longer paragraph about eating habits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of direction. However, progression within the main paragraph is weak: online ordering, children, late-night cravings, advertising, and frozen food are listed one after another without clear grouping or explanation. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “There is also” are used, but the first does not clearly introduce a contrasting advantage, and repeated references to online ordering make the discussion feel circular. Organise the essay into distinct advantage and disadvantage paragraphs, use clear topic sentences, and connect examples directly to the point they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “convenience food,” “frozen food,” “cravings,” and “cholesterol level,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “online order,” “fast food,” and “body.” Some word choices or collocations are unclear, such as “specific energy,” “capability of strongness,” and “social marketing of food.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “adds” for “ads” and “homemade” used inconsistently as two words. Build a more precise set of expressions for convenience, nutrition, and health effects, and check that each phrase sounds natural in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, and the main message can usually be followed. Some simple sentence patterns are controlled, such as “In conclusion, the fast food decreases the energy of the body.” However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to read. Examples include “A increasing number,” “A fast food does not provide,” “Children also insist their parents … and doesn't eat,” and “when they have cravings … the fry it.” Several sentences also join ideas without clear punctuation, particularly in the long paragraph about ordering and frozen food. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and articles, and divide long sentences into complete, clearly punctuated clauses.
