Student answer (Band 5.5)

Transportation is way to go one place to others. In yester years, people went to other place by trains or bicycle whereas nowsdays, technology is very advace and prople have their own personal vehicles, and they perfers to go with them. It is highly debatable whether people rely on private cars for transportation to be positive or negative. I shall discuss both views in upcoming paragraphs.

The major reason why people rely on private cars for transportation is to safe their time. For example, people choose to go office by their own cars insteads by bus or train. By car they can diretly go to office by their home, while go to bys bus they need to go first bus stand and wait for the bus. Besides this, people can go with mutliple facelities with their family in car. A good illustration of that is they can go safely, comfortabelly and more enjoyable as compare to bus.

"Their are to faces of every coins" similar, people prefer to travel by local transport instead by public transport. During this, we can see lots of traffic in the cities and due to this people also get late to reach in office. Moreover, lots of traffics and vehicle create accidents preblem, everyday we saw the accident news in newspaper and news channels. In addition to this, car and every motors transport cretae problem for our climate and ozone layer. good illustration of that is lots of harmfull gases genrate while transport.

In conculsion, it can be said that, rely on personal cars is negative impacts on over envirnment. We need to prefer go by public transport and incase we need to go by car, we can ensure that we can not go sinlge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both questions by describing how cars can save time and make family travel more comfortable, then arguing that their wider effects are negative. The examples about commuting and traffic-related accidents are relevant. However, the discussion of how reliance changes people’s lives is brief, and several claims—especially the effect on the ozone layer—are asserted without clear explanation or support. Your position also shifts: the introduction promises to discuss “both views,” while the conclusion says reliance is negative, without clearly weighing the benefits against the harms. Develop the effects with specific reasoning and make your overall judgement clear from the introduction through to the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate benefits from drawbacks. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “Moreover” and “In addition to this” help signal relationships between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the second paragraph moves from traffic delays to accidents and then environmental harm without explaining how these points connect. Some transitions are awkward or inaccurate, including “During this” and “similar,” and the introduction’s promise to discuss both views does not lead to a balanced comparison. Organise each paragraph around one main effect, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only when their relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “private cars,” “public transport,” “traffic,” “accidents” and “harmful gases,” so the main subject is generally understandable. There are also attempts to use more descriptive language, such as “comfortably” and “enjoyable.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, for example “safe their time,” “go to office by their own cars,” and “lots of traffics.” Frequent spelling errors, including “nowsdays,” “facelities” and “envirnment,” also make the writing less clear. Build a bank of accurate transport and environmental collocations, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a comparison beginning “while” and a sentence explaining that cars create problems for the climate. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “people went to other place,” “they perfers to go with them,” and “people prefer to travel by local transport instead by public transport.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries, as in “Their are to faces of every coins” and “good illustration of that is.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and comparisons while checking agreement, articles and punctuation.
