Student answer (Band 6.5)
In some countries, it is often seen that people mostly rely on private vehicles instead of using public transportation. There are multiple reasons behind over reliance on private vehicles, such as easy convenience, cost of transportation. I personally feel that it has more negative effects compare to positive.
The first and foremost reason of using private cars could be convenience. There are so many people in the world who feel having a private car for transportation provides the kind of freedom to travel anytime and anywhere. In other words, people often believe if they have a private car, they do not have check the timing of public transportation. They can start the engine of their car and travel whenever they want and wherever they want to. Also, in many countries it gets very difficult to travel in certain weather despite someone has a private vehicle or car. Thus, people prefer to buy a private car not as part of luxury but as necessity. for example, counties like Canada or Russia
The Second reason could be cost cutting. In many parts of the world, people often think from money point of view. They often feel buying a private car is one time investment, and they do not need to pay money on each travel. The only thing they need to do is to get the insurance and fuel up the car, and they are good to travel instead of buying a ticket each time.
Having a private car has a significant advantages. However, I feel that it is not a completely positive change. The first reason is when people buy more and more car, there will be more traffic on roads. So, this may cause traffic conjunction problems. In addition, if there are more cars on the roads, this could also cause pollution problems. Cars may omit more carbon diaoxide in the air, and this may make difficult for people to breathe clean air.
To conclude, yes, having a private car makes people life more easy to live. However, I feel the considerable problems that it may create are non negotiable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by discussing the reasons for reliance on private cars and evaluating whether the effects are positive or negative. Your position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the convenience aspect is well-explained, the section on cost-cutting is less convincing, as private car ownership involves significant ongoing costs (insurance, maintenance, depreciation) that you did not fully account for. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting arguments are logically sound and fully explored with more depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'The first and foremost reason' and 'In addition', to guide the reader. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and the paragraphing could be improved; for instance, the paragraph discussing the negative effects is quite short compared to the others. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the abrupt mention of Canada and Russia without fully integrating them into the argument about weather.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'over reliance', 'investment', and 'non-negotiable'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'traffic conjunction' (should be 'congestion'), 'omit more carbon diaoxide' (should be 'emit' and 'dioxide'), and 'makes people life more easy' (should be 'makes people's lives easier'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit your ability to convey ideas with precision and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' before 'money point of view'), subject-verb agreement, and pluralization ('more and more car'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'despite someone has a private vehicle'. While you attempt complex structures, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for these common slips would be beneficial.
