Student answer (Band 4.0)
First of all thanku so much to give an opportunities to talk about the private cars transportation. The private car transportation has so many positive and negative effects. Some effects are positive and some are negative. According to my personal experience the private car transportation are negative effects, because in the previous time people mostly used public transportation but now a days people mostly used our personal transportation. By the invention of private cars the local public buses are not working. When the public transports like buses ,Autorickshaw, are almost stopped. People use their own transport as compared to public transport .Then the private car transportation starts the public transportation work are very slow. My personal experience is when i was studied in college ,I travel through public bus. I pay the half bus ticket because i am the student.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 140 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the prompt asks for the ways reliance on cars affects our lives and whether these effects are positive or negative, the response is underdeveloped. It mentions the decline of public transport but fails to explore broader societal impacts such as environmental concerns, urban planning, or personal convenience. The position is stated but lacks the depth and supporting evidence required for a higher band. To improve, you must expand on your arguments with specific examples and ensure you address all parts of the prompt in full.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the ideas are presented in a single, disjointed paragraph. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'the private car transportation'. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences do not flow logically from one to the next. To improve, you should use clear paragraphing to separate your introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Additionally, incorporate a wider range of linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in contrast' to connect your ideas more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'private car transportation' are used repeatedly, which limits the range of expression. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'previous time' instead of 'in the past' and 'the private car transportation starts the public transportation work are very slow'. The vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic with any degree of precision or sophistication. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to transportation and urban living, and try to use synonyms to avoid repeating the same phrases throughout your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('the private car transportation are negative effects'), article usage, and tense consistency ('when i was studied in college'). The sentence structures are mostly simple and contain errors in punctuation and capitalization. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, which are necessary for higher band scores. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of tenses. Proofreading for simple errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms will also help improve your accuracy.
