Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the present scenario, people prefer their own cars, while travelling from one place to another. As far as my views are concerned, this trend should be seen in the negative side of the development. This essay will explicate effects of this trend on the people's lives in the subsequent segments.
Commencing with, there are several negative affects of using private cars. The most prominent one is that it creates more pollution in the society. In other words, modern generation always like to travel or commute by car because it provides them comfort as well as reliable. However, people intiate using cars for short distance such as commute to work, and local areas rather than public transportation. Consequently, it not only rises the emission of carbon gases in the society but also affect the supply of fuel.
Furthermore, the other significant effect is that it causes the issue of traffic congestion. To elucidate, when public use the large number of cars, it will devlop more traffic on roads. Therefore, it is highly likely to cause humans to delay. In addition, it may also effects the life of roads. The more number of cars on the roads as more it can damage the roads. As a result, the governments might be need to allocate useful funds on either constructing a new wider roads or maitaince of these old roads instead of spending that money on other sector such as healthcare, education and entertainment.
To recapitulate, due to the reasons, such as contamination in environment and traffic congestion, it has more affects on indivduals lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: it identifies the effects of private car reliance and clearly states a negative position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention pollution and traffic congestion, the arguments are brief and lack depth. For instance, the point about road maintenance is a good observation, but it could be expanded with more specific examples or consequences. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph fully explores the implications of your points rather than just listing them. Your position is consistent throughout, which is a strength.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', and 'To recapitulate' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'Commencing with' (which is not standard usage) and 'due to the reasons, such as'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final sentence where the connection between the points and the conclusion could be smoother. Improving the variety and natural flow of your linking words will help elevate your score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choice or incorrect collocations, such as 'provides them comfort as well as reliable' (should be 'reliability') and 'it may also effects the life of roads' (should be 'affects'). You also use 'affects' instead of 'effects' in several places. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary and ensuring that you use the correct word forms (nouns vs. verbs) in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it not only rises the emission', 'it may also effects') and article usage ('the large number of cars'). There are also awkward phrasings like 'the governments might be need to allocate'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring correct verb forms.
