Student answer (Band 5.5)

No doubt, that automotive is increasing dramatically, reason of this its easier for juveniles to commute one place to another in easier way. In most of the word pupils are depend on there own private vehicles for transportation. There are many positive impact on person life. In upcoming paragraph I elaborate it with reasons and give an example.

To commence with, in this era everyone one have busy schedule. They need personal transport to avoid an unwanted hussel busel. To elaborate it, people want to appoint to their jobs on time. so they choose their own cars instead of public transport because public transport consume more time as compare to cars and some times there are possibility that buses should be cancelled due to low maintenance or problem in bus. Thus going to own car is easy for person who commute daily and avoid unwanted stress.

Moving further, if person have their own car it is also useful in an emergency. To be more clear, no one known when emergency came in life. If someone is ill or seriously injured in their home or working area and if person have their own vehicle its possible that they take an treatment on time. People can used their car to send person to hospital. For example my friends daughter was seriously injured because she fall from a roof at night and they lived in countryside area. Ambulance take 30 to 40 minutes to arrived to their house. So he decide to go to hospital by car because hospital was 25 mintues away from their house. Hence with their own vehicle he save his daughter from pain

To conclude, there are many positive aspects to having an own vehicle its not only helpful to commute to job but also useful in an emergency.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the reliance on private cars and their positive impacts. However, the task asks for an evaluation of whether the effects are positive or negative. By focusing exclusively on the benefits, the response fails to provide a balanced view or acknowledge the negative consequences (such as traffic congestion or environmental pollution), which limits the depth of the argument. While the ideas regarding convenience and emergencies are relevant, they are somewhat under-developed. The position is clear, but the scope of the discussion is narrow, preventing a higher score in this criterion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To commence with' and 'Moving further'. There are issues with referencing; for example, the transition between sentences is sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow is hindered by repetitive phrasing. While the paragraphing is present, the internal cohesion within paragraphs lacks sophistication, and the connection between ideas is occasionally strained by grammatical errors that obscure the intended meaning.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. The student relies on basic terms like 'easier', 'good', and 'useful'. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and spelling errors, such as 'hussel busel' (hustle and bustle), 'word' instead of 'world', and 'appoint' instead of 'arrive'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and the frequent errors in collocation and spelling prevent the essay from reaching a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement ('pupils are depend', 'everyone one have'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors that impede readability, such as 'no one known when emergency came in life'. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are often faulty, leading to a lack of clarity. The punctuation is also inconsistent. The majority of sentences contain errors, which significantly affects the overall quality of the writing.
