Student answer (Band 5.0)

Depending on our own car in various nations has been seen with the positive outcomes in terms of daily basis. This tend to the both good or bad effects. I will we going to discuss them all in my upcoming paragraphs with an example. In my opinion, This has more positive effects.

To begin, The first and formost point that is 'convenient' reason for that is you have freedom to go where ever you want to. Meanwhile, You can easily preform multiple tasks in your daily life if you have your own mode of transportation like car or bike. For instance, if you would like to go to market for buying some vegetables and after that you also have to go to your work so here using private car can save much more time insted of using public transportation.

However, operating own car also requires a lots of funds. In USA mostly people have their cars on loans which they payback to the bank in instalments. Moreover, Insurence also take place in it so on an average the budge goes above $800 dollers. But, It aslo gives the status in the neighbour hood which everyone love's in this generation.

To conclude, i would love to say that having own vehicle in today's world have more benifits as compare to the public services. Time is equals to money we all know well so this is the reason that why more people use private cars for going one place to another.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that private cars have more positive effects, and you address both convenience and costs. The example of combining a shopping trip with going to work helps illustrate how a car can save time. However, the task asks more broadly how reliance on cars affects the way people live, and the response develops only a narrow set of effects. The financial point is brief, while the claim that cars provide status is asserted rather than explained; wider effects, such as independence, congestion, or pollution, are not explored. The opening also says the effects may be good or bad without clearly setting out your position until later. The response is one word below the required minimum. Develop each effect with explanation and a relevant example, and state your position consistently from the introduction.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate convenience from costs. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven: the second body paragraph moves from loan costs to insurance and then to social status without explaining how these points connect. Linking expressions such as “To begin,” “However,” and “To conclude” help signal stages, but some are mechanical, and “Meanwhile” does not clearly express the relationship between the ideas that follow. The introduction also promises to discuss both effects, but the development is limited. Group related points together, use clearer references between sentences, and make each paragraph build one main idea through explanation and an example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “private transportation,” “instalments,” “insurance,” and “public transportation,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which can make parts difficult to follow. Examples include “on a daily basis” expressed as “in terms of daily basis,” “preform multiple tasks,” and “the budget goes above $800 dollars.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “formost,” “insurence,” “dollers,” and “benifits.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than adding vocabulary that does not fit the sentence. Proofread spelling and practise collocations for costs, convenience, and transport.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if you would like to go to market,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For example, “This tend to the both good or bad effects” has problems with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction, while “I will we going to discuss” combines incompatible verb forms. Other examples include “having own vehicle … have more benefits” and “Time is equals to money,” where agreement and verb patterns are incorrect. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly after sentence breaks. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, articles, and agreement in each sentence.
