Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, many people rely on private cars for transpotation. I completely disagree with this option because private cars affects the way we live. I want to dicuss some point of view that make private cars for transportation is not a good option overall at the daily basis.

To begin with, private cars are create so many environmental problems. In some country, Government is provided public mode of transport but people need to be reliance on private cars. My main concern is that if people use more private cars they lost their own money. Other reason is that they purchase new cars, make every month lease debts and lost their most of money in fuels or gases. Moreover, I also assume that private car is needed when you have any emergency work but you going work daily and communicate at longer distance must be use public transport.

Another important reason is that electric bikes are also relevant option for communicating because Government will expanded Electric charging station . From the environmental perspectives, private vehicles is created problem related pollution and climate change that affects our weather condition. I also agree with that some institutions are running workshops and make aware about cause of affect related to private cars. As a result, many people moving towards electric vehicle and other form of transportation.

On the other hand, some people argue that private vehicle do not affect the way we live. I know all person have their own point of views. Although this argument has some merit, I belive that people do not fully rely on private cars.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that private cars affect our environment and the way we live. Therefore, there are negative impacts connected with private mode of transportation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear negative position in the introduction and conclusion, and you identify relevant effects, including environmental damage, fuel and car costs, and the usefulness of public transport or electric bikes. However, the task asks how reliance on cars affects the way people live as well as whether the effects are positive or negative. Most points are listed rather than explained: for example, the claim that car use affects people’s money is not connected to a specific change in daily life, and the benefits of private cars are barely considered beyond emergencies. The opposing view is mentioned but not developed. To strengthen the response, explain practical effects on routines, health, or communities and support each main point with a clear example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two main paragraphs, and a conclusion, so the reader can recognise a basic essay structure. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “On the other hand” also signal some relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from pollution to personal costs and then public transport without clearly connecting these points. Some transitions are mechanical, and the paragraph beginning “Another important reason” combines electric bikes, pollution, workshops, and changing transport choices. The opposing view is also brief and does not lead to a developed comparison. Group related ideas together and use clear topic sentences and references so each paragraph advances one main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “environmental problems,” “climate change,” “public transport,” and “electric charging station.” These terms help communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “make private cars for transportation is not a good option,” “lost their own money,” and “cause of affect related to private cars.” Spelling errors such as “transpotation,” “dicuss,” and “belive” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases such as “reliance on private cars,” “incur fuel and loan costs,” and “raise awareness of the effects of car use,” and check spelling during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “if people use more private cars” and a concession introduced by “Although.” However, errors are frequent, and complex structures are often not controlled, which can make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “private cars affects” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “private cars are create” combines incompatible verb forms. In “you going work daily … must be use public transport,” the verb forms and sentence structure are incomplete. Articles, plurals, and agreement also need attention, as in “in some country” and “private vehicles is created.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a subordinate clause, then check verb forms and agreement.
