Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this era of technology, people are living there dream life of going to work on private vehicles and enjoying there own company. It has some advantages but I believe negative side is greater than positive of this development.
Fistly, nowadays people have enough time to spend with themselves as they are commuting alone, they have the privilage of privacy and they are trying to connecting more with there innerself. Secondly, individuals can listen anything or talk with anyone they want, they do not have to worry about others oppinion, due to which they feel the sence of freedome and they can drive anywhere according to there mood, no need to ask anyone.
Disadvantages of driving alone, first and foremost, more and more pollution in atmosphare and highhways remains busy most of the time, due to everyperon is commuting to work alone in 5 or 7 seater vehicle which leads to increase in the price of fuel and more pullution. Adding more, some times driving alone is serious concern to fatal accident, anyone can feel boared while driving alone and fell into sleep easily. People also feel lonliness, bacause they do not have any one to talk and they are having issues like strees anxiety. Furthermore, government should motivates individuals to use the public transport to save the fuel and also impliment some taxes on driving alone.
In conclusion, we have to save fuel for our next generation and driving alone could give you some privacy but people can spend quality time togeather in public transport or while traveling in one vehicle, which helps to save our ecosystem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you describe effects on daily life and make your position clear that the negative effects outweigh the positive ones. The points about privacy, freedom to choose where to go, pollution, fuel use, accidents and loneliness are relevant. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that commuting alone helps people connect with their “innerself” is unclear, and the discussion of stress and anxiety would be stronger with an explanation of how car reliance causes these effects. Your conclusion reinforces the environmental concern, but the response could compare the overall impact of the benefits and drawbacks more explicitly. Develop fewer points with clearer reasoning and a specific example to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on drawbacks and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help identify stages in the argument. However, the paragraph on disadvantages contains several different points—pollution, congestion, fuel prices, accidents and loneliness—without enough explanation or clear grouping. Some links are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear, as in the sentence connecting solo driving with fuel prices. Organise related effects together and use linking phrases that show cause, contrast or consequence precisely. Clearer progression within the body paragraphs would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “private vehicles,” “pollution,” “fatal accident,” “public transport” and “ecosystem.” There are also attempts to express less basic ideas, such as privacy and freedom. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “privilage,” “opinion,” “sence of freedome,” “pullution” and “lonliness.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “living there dream life” and “highways remains busy.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations related to transport and its effects. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the same relevant ideas clearly without relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as,” “because” and “which,” so the response shows some range. The main meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur across the response. For example, “they are trying to connecting” uses an incorrect verb pattern, while “government should motivates” has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, such as “highways remains busy” and the long sentence beginning “Disadvantages of driving alone.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb patterns after “try” and modal verbs, and punctuation that separates complete ideas. Greater control of these forms would make your argument smoother and clearer.
