Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You state a clear position: relying on private cars has “largely positive effects,” and you identify saving time and earning money as benefits. These points are relevant, but the response addresses the task only minimally. It does not explain in enough detail how car reliance affects people’s lives, and it gives no examples or supporting explanation to show how the claimed benefits work. The prompt also invites consideration of the overall effects; your answer mentions only advantages, without developing the consequences that might qualify your view. Most importantly, the response is 153 words below the required minimum, leaving the main ideas substantially underdeveloped. To improve, explain each effect, add a specific example, and develop your position across a complete essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic overall shape: an opening paragraph gives your view, followed by a paragraph introducing reasons. Linking expressions such as “Apart from that” and “Eventually” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the progression is limited because the second paragraph moves quickly from time-saving to earning money without explaining the relationship or developing either point. Some connections are also unclear, particularly “The predominant reason of the private transportation is save the time its facilitates.” The short response does not establish a full essay structure with developed body paragraphs and a conclusion. Use one paragraph for each main effect, connect each claim to its explanation or example, and finish by restating your overall judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “private transportation,” “personal mode of transport,” “local transport,” and “productivity.” This gives you a basic range for expressing your central ideas. However, several spelling and word-choice problems reduce accuracy and naturalness: “vehciles,” “postive,” and “Preciesly” are misspelled, while “the predominant reason of the private transportation” and “its facilitates” are awkward or unclear. Repetition of “personal” and “transport” also limits variety. Aim to use accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “reliance on private cars” and “save time” express your ideas more directly than the less natural phrases in the response.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main position is generally understandable. However, sentence boundaries and clause construction are not consistently controlled. The opening sentence joins two independent clauses with a comma: “Its often argued that most of the people travel by their own cars, it is affecting people's lives in many ways.” The phrase “The predominant reason … is save the time its facilitates” also has faulty sentence structure, and “having a personal mode of transport, will not relay” includes an unnecessary comma between the subject phrase and verb. Punctuation spacing is inconsistent as well. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and use full stops or conjunctions to join independent clauses.
