Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the present scenario, Mostly people prefer to travel with their own cars. This trend going to be the cause of many problems. more private vehicles could cause more demerits and benefits. In the upcoming paragraphs I would like to discuss the neagtives of using private transportation.
More rely on private cars than public transportation system could cause of many problems. firstly, People have their own vehicles and sometime they use their own car while going outside or work alone. this could lead more traffic congestion on roads. For example, Sales of cars increased by 40% in 2025 as compared to 20%on 2022. according to some major publications. moreover traffic on roads could cause more time consumption and sometimes be the reason late from work.
According to me this effect tend to be more negatives. firstly, more trust on private vehicles means more traffic and could result more pollution like air and noise. in detail, air and noise pollution might be the reason of severe health, psychological issues. People are suffer from cancer and other lungs problems. For instance, Pollution level in Delhi city in india become the higher from all cities and more severe and sick people recorded in delhi. this trend only be the cause of problems.
In conclusion, more trust on private transport medium could be the negative effects the ay we spend our life and more negatives like more traffic on roads and more pollution level. all this cause of unhealty lifestyle and more cancer and lungs related prblems.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You answer both parts of the question by describing effects on daily life—especially congestion, delays, pollution and health—and by stating that the overall impact is negative. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening says private cars bring “demerits and benefits,” while the rest focuses almost entirely on disadvantages. The ideas are relevant but remain limited and under-developed. For example, the claim that pollution causes cancer and lung problems is not explained, and the Delhi example is asserted rather than clearly connected to car use. Develop a smaller number of effects with clearer reasoning and a specific, credible example, and briefly acknowledge any benefits if you introduce them.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate traffic effects from pollution and health effects. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often mechanical: “firstly,” “moreover” and “for instance” are used as signposts without always making the relationship between claims clear. The opening also promises a discussion of negatives, but the phrase “demerits and benefits” creates an expectation that is not followed through. Some references, such as “this trend” and “this effect,” are vague, and the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together. Use clearer links between cause and consequence and make each paragraph develop one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “traffic congestion,” “air and noise pollution,” “transportation” and “health,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning awkward: “more trust on private vehicles,” “time consumption,” and “the reason late from work” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “neagtives,” “unhealty” and “prblems,” along with inconsistent capitalisation, also reduce control. Build a bank of natural phrases for describing reliance, delays and health impacts, and check spelling and word forms during revision. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the effects without repeating “more” and “problems.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer cause-and-effect sentences, for example, “this could lead more traffic congestion on roads.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include missing or incorrect verb forms in “This trend going to be the cause” and “People are suffer,” as well as agreement and article problems in “this effect tend to be more negatives.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several sentences beginning in lowercase and clauses joined unclearly. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check tense, agreement and articles. More accurate control of basic structures will make your ideas easier to understand.
