Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both the effects of car reliance and whether they are positive or negative, and your position is consistently positive. Convenience, privacy, safety, and time saved are relevant effects, with examples such as using saved time for family or other activities. However, the response mainly lists benefits rather than explaining in depth how car dependence changes daily life, and it does not consider any drawbacks or qualify its positive judgement. Some points, such as cars being safer and faster than public transport, are asserted without support. Develop fewer ideas with specific explanations or examples, and make the overall impact on people’s lives more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Moreover,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the discussion, and the main focus remains on the benefits of private cars. However, the progression is somewhat mechanical, and the two body paragraphs overlap by repeating convenience and time-saving points. The opening promises to discuss “the reasons,” which does not quite match the task’s focus on effects. Some references, such as “the saved time” and “By doing this,” could connect more precisely to the preceding idea. Group related effects and use clearer links to show how each one affects daily life.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “convenient,” “sense of privacy,” “valuable commodity,” and “mode of commuting,” which allows you to discuss transport and its benefits. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “in a daily lives,” “travel in hurry,” and “saves their a lot of hours.” There is also a spelling error in “espects,” and repeated use of “cars,” “time,” and “travel” limits flexibility. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they make the expression less natural. Check common word partnerships and vary vocabulary where the same idea recurs.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple and more developed sentence forms, including subordinate clauses beginning “Whenever” and “who,” and the meaning is generally understandable. Some errors remain in sentence structure and grammatical forms. For example, “Especially, people who are working far from their home” is a fragment, while “There are many reasons why cars are affecting people in a daily lives” has problems with agreement and article use. In “It also saves a great deal of time,” the pronoun’s reference is unclear, and “a person who is spending” is an awkward tense choice for a general statement. Aim to make each sentence complete and check articles, plurals, and verb forms in generalisations.
