Student answer (Band 6.5)
Mobile usage during driving should be illegal as it distracts drivers from focusing on road, which leads to some serious consequences. I totally agree with this notion as driving is very risky job and it should be done consciously. I will discuss my viewpoints regarding this statement and provide a clear conclusion in the end.
firstly, commuting is major part of our life and for that people drive various types of vehicles. So, to ensure safe trip individuals need to focus on road while driving to avoid any repurcussions. For example, while driving to work from home people should put their phone on silent and place it out of sight as this will help them pay attention on their driving.
Moving further, when people use their cell phones they completely indulge into their phones forgetting that they are driving. This leads to serious damage to them as sometimes it results in accident. Moreover, they are not only helps responsible for their own damage but also other people who are driving safely. To explain it, in recent surveys it has been seen that lot of accidents happen while people are paying attention to their phones instead of road. Sometimes, it leads to serious injuries which can make people incapable of doing normal chores.
To conclude, it is very sensitive matters which should be look into responsibly and make rules where people should not be allowed to use their electronic devices while driving which will not only save themselves, but also others.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of banning cell phone use while driving. The ideas are relevant, focusing on distraction and the resulting accidents. However, the development is somewhat limited; while you mention that accidents lead to injuries, the argument could be strengthened by exploring the societal impact or the effectiveness of enforcement. The conclusion is a bit brief but summarizes the main point effectively. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation or a more specific, illustrative example to fully support your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'firstly', 'moving further', and 'moreover' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as in the sentence 'they are not only helps responsible for their own damage', where the connection to the previous idea is slightly muddled. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'conscious', 'repercussions', and 'indulge'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'driving is very risky job' (missing article) and 'they are not only helps responsible' (incorrect verb usage). The vocabulary is generally sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('focusing on road'), subject-verb agreement issues ('they are not only helps responsible'), and awkward phrasing ('it is very sensitive matters'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization at the start of sentences. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the text. Focus on proofreading for basic grammar and article usage.
