Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, use of mobile phone while driving has become widely discussed issue in many parts of the world. Some people believe that it ought to be restricted during driving. While other hold different view. This essay agrees with this view because of people more attention while driving and save life from accidents.
To begin with, less chance of accidents are main reasons why I support this view. This is because less pressure on hospital as many accidents happened behind reasons is phone. Most people while driving use mobile phone. Due to which, many unconditional accidents happens from many past years. As a result, Government ought to implement some law to solve this obstacles. For instance, install camera on roads due to which, drive have fear from tickets and they do not use phone while driving.
Another important reasons is that people know about safety and rules which is implemented by the government. They will follow all rules while using of vehicles. Many people lost their hearing power which leads to over use of headphone or ear bird during driving. If the use of mobile phone while driving reduce then it will good impact on individuals and society. Therefore, they can give more attention to their work. As a result, productivity will increase in the future.
In conclusion, I completely agree with this statement that using a cell phone while driving is very harmful because of increase chance of accidents and give more attention to unnecessary calls. Therefore, I believe that use of a cell phone while driving should be prohibited. It will be best approach to society and individual.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that accidents cause pressure on hospitals and that cameras could act as a deterrent, these points are not fully explored or supported with sufficient depth. The argument regarding 'productivity' in the third paragraph is slightly tangential and lacks a clear connection to the main topic of driving safety. To improve, ensure that each supporting point directly reinforces your central argument and provides a more detailed explanation or example to demonstrate your reasoning more effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Another important reason,' and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'behind reasons is phone.' Some transitions feel forced or repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between ideas is more fluid and natural, rather than relying on a standard template of transition markers.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'unconditional accidents' (likely meaning 'unnecessary' or 'avoidable') and 'ear bird' (likely meaning 'earbuds'). The repetition of basic terms like 'use' and 'driving' limits the sophistication of the writing. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and synonyms to express your ideas with greater clarity and variety, while paying closer attention to the correct usage of technical or descriptive terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'less chance of accidents are'), missing articles (e.g., 'use of mobile phone'), and incorrect prepositional usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading your work to correct these recurring errors, particularly regarding pluralization, article usage, and sentence construction, to ensure your writing is more accurate and professional.
