Student answer (Band 6.0)
Cell phones are very essential in humans life. Nowadays, it is a part of our life. Usage of mobile phones during drive is very prohibited because this driver get distracted during driving. So, mobile phones use by drivers should be made restricted. I totally agree with this point of view and there are some reasons why it should be made illegal during drive.
First and foremost, in this era, accident rates are increasing day by day due to distraction while driving by people. To be more specific, people use their phones during drive and they clash their vehicle to the other transport by distraction on driving. As a result, government should make strict rule in this case and they should install cameras on roads to track people to not use their phones during drive, for that happens people will decrease to watch their phones during drive and also reduce the accident rates.
Another point of view on this topic is that government should be fine to those who use mobile phones during drive. It should large amount for this activity. Therefore, people have fear of using phone and they will follow the rules.
Last but not least, the most of the population dying due to accidents. The main reason is that distraction in driving. In other words, people not focus on their driving they got distracted and accidents happens. Consequently, it is also the main reason of huge traffic on highways but if government take action on it traffic problem will also mitigate.
In conclusion, its not only responsibility of government, people should also follow the rules during driving and they should not use their phones during drive.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding government fines is mentioned but not fully explored in terms of its impact or feasibility. While the main points are relevant, they are often stated rather than supported with detailed examples or logical expansion. The conclusion is brief and does not add new insight. To reach a higher band, you should focus on providing more specific, well-reasoned explanations for your arguments rather than restating the same points about distraction and accidents in different ways.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Another point of view', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Another point of view on this topic is that government should be fine'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions feel forced. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'very essential', 'very prohibited', and 'huge traffic' show a limited range. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'clash their vehicle to the other transport' instead of 'collide with other vehicles' or 'mitigate traffic'. You rely heavily on simple descriptors and struggle to use more precise or academic vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to road safety and legislation, and avoid overusing simple intensifiers like 'very'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'government should be fine to those' (should impose fines) and 'for that happens people will decrease to watch their phones'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition use would significantly improve your accuracy.
