Student answer (Band 6.0)
Technology has been a vital change for today's world, but still it has its own serious repercussions. Mobile phones are widely used by all, but navigating while driving is a serious concern. There are many dangerous outcomes caused while performing this kind of activities, which should be never legalized. The more will be articulated in further paragraphs, and according to me I agree with the idea for motion.
Firstly, it is been notified that driving carelessly has been increased, according to the traffic control authority. The sole reason for this was distracted driving by the citizens of the country. By leading this, it's not only the rule breaker, but the innocent on the road is gambling his life. Moreover, it also brings headache for the government, as it leds to binding of new rules, and spending more on country's infrastructure. For example, a recent accident on national highway 1, broke the tube light poles between the roads, and when checked through cctv, the rider was seen scrolling his phone while driving.
secondly, charging fines should be increased as it would bring a fear before breaking any rules. like, there is already $500 of tickets charged while using phone while driving, it should raise unto $2500 as, a individual I would know if I break rule I need to pay for my months salary. This would bring a fear, but still it would be worth it, as, if there was an accident and the culprit was dead or seriously injured, so his whole family would be dependent on him.
In conclusion, using of cell phones while driving should be considered as illegal, as offenders are risking their life by been distracted and making it for others too.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, arguing in favor of making cell phone use while driving illegal. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of distracted driving and the deterrent effect of fines. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding infrastructure costs is mentioned but not fully explored. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is inconsistent, leading to a somewhat superficial treatment of the topic. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your supporting points with more detailed explanations or nuanced examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'By leading this' or 'The more will be articulated in further paragraphs'. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. While the overall arrangement is coherent, the lack of sophisticated cohesive links and occasional awkward phrasing prevents a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'distracted driving', 'infrastructure', and 'culprit'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'performing this kind of activities', 'brings headache for the government', and 'binding of new rules'. These errors occasionally make the text sound unnatural. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise vocabulary to express your ideas, rather than relying on literal translations or informal phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('it leds to', 'it should raise unto'), article usage, and tense consistency ('it is been notified'). Some sentences are also poorly constructed, such as 'the more will be articulated in further paragraphs'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to be noticeable and impact the overall fluency of the writing. Increasing your control over basic grammar and punctuation is essential for a higher band.
