Student answer (Band 5.5)
Cell phone nowadays used in every field of life and it becomes important part of life every coin has two sides good or bad using mobile phone during driving not only distracts the driver but also become dreadful for others on the road. This essay totally agree with this statement because it is the top most reason accidents and deaths occur on road, it also leads to financial loss due to increase in insurance and sometimes cancel your licence.
The foremost reason is that when you are driving if your phone is in the pocket or on nearby seat it always distract you. If there is text messages you keep on checking on the phone without thinking its sitcoms and within few minutes you met with disaster due to negligence. For example, one of my relative driving car he just had text message from his work and his phone was in his pocket and with blinking of eyes he met with an accident which was a big disaster luckily it didn't hurt anyone but his car was totally damaged because he badly hit it with another car.
The second and almost hold with everyone, if there is minor or major incident happen it effots your licencing points and also sometime it get cancelled if the issues are big. The another one is financial burden on ones, it will automatically increase the
insurance and you also pressured under this. for example, The aboved mentioned example luckily he did not loss his licence but his insurance into increase triple times than before- he was also in tension at that time.
To conclude, using phone is totally illegal while driving, but you can use it is very necessary and you cann't ignore- Take your care a side and stop it or when you are waiting on the red light. But using while driving has emence loss of life and finance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on safety, legal consequences, and financial impacts. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat uneven. The second paragraph provides a personal example, but the explanation of the 'financial burden' in the third paragraph is fragmented and lacks clarity. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly explored to reach a higher band. The conclusion introduces a contradictory point about using a phone when 'necessary,' which slightly undermines the strength of the initial argument for a total ban.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, phrases like 'The another one is' and 'The aboved mentioned example' are awkward and disrupt the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally abrupt. While the overall structure is coherent, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the presence of repetitive phrasing limit the effectiveness of the cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'dreadful for others,' 'effots your licencing points,' and 'emence loss.' The student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles to express complex ideas fluently. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequent errors in word formation and collocation prevent the use of a wider, more flexible range of vocabulary required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'cell phone nowadays used'), article usage, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'if there is text messages you keep on checking'). Punctuation is also problematic, with several run-on sentences and missing commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to cause difficulty for the reader and indicate a lack of control over complex grammatical forms.
