Student answer (Band 5.0)
While driving some people use their cell phones which is make a lot of distraction and because of this accident may occur. I agree with this statement, i would like to discuss about it in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, it is true that mobile phones is not good for drivers while they are drive any vehicle. When they use phones they are not able to concentrate on a way and then it becomes dangerous for other people also. Here, I would like to share example, there is a one Indian guy his name is Harjinder Singh, who is a truck driver in USA. Once a day he using mobile phone and scrolling reels and then his truck hits a car very badly and those passenger in car were died at the same time. Now he is in prison for 10 years. So it is very bad for his family as well as died people families as well.
On the other hand, it is good for some instant to use phones by drivers should illegal, like they should not use mobile phones for talk with them if there is an emergency they use one headphone. They do not use mobile phone for watching anything. Using map in long way is very important so they should only use this before starting their route.
In conclusion, use of mobile phones is dangerous for all of us. So use phones while driving only for watching map.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the personal example of the truck driver is relevant, the second body paragraph is somewhat contradictory and confusing; it attempts to argue for a ban but then suggests exceptions for navigation, which weakens the overall argument. To improve, you should ensure your arguments are fully developed and consistent, and always meet the minimum word count to avoid a penalty.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For example, the transition 'On the other hand, it is good for some instant to use phones by drivers should illegal' is grammatically confusing and makes the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'In conclusion', the internal structure of your sentences often lacks the necessary cohesion to guide the reader smoothly. Improving your use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help raise your score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms such as 'bad', 'use', and 'good', which restricts your ability to express complex ideas precisely. There are also noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'died people families' instead of 'the families of the deceased'. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary by incorporating more academic and topic-specific terminology, such as 'distraction', 'legislation', 'fatality', or 'mitigate', and focus on using these words in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('mobile phones is not good'), tense inconsistencies ('he using mobile phone'), and awkward sentence structures ('which is make a lot of distraction'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the simple sentences used often contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and correct verb tenses. Once you have a solid foundation, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, to demonstrate greater grammatical control.
