Student answer (Band 5.5)
Now a days road accident is been increased from past days, news in media and traffic jam in highway due to accident can seen all the time.
i believe that using cell phone while driving is causing distraction for drivers but i disagree with the illegal action for people using cell phone.
Begin with car accident can not only the reason of using cell phone but there are many other reason behind it like wheather problem or high speeding.etc.making cell phone illegal will cause dangerious effect on the person if they had any emergency problem or any emergency situation.driver will become more stressed if they carry there phone with them however this can cause more dangerious while driving that what i use phone that is illegal to use.for example while i was traveling to alberta in car there was a situation i had to use phone becuse i was lost in city i didnt know ehere to go so that case i used.
forthermore, if this law get suscced there will be more case to handle in the country as there is already lots of crime and problem with in the country where the police have to work on this can became more difficult to handle as one and other day there will be case that the driver using cell phone as now a days no one can leave without cell phone now there is a time where everyone withthin some minutes they check there phone.
However i believe that the cell phone is dangerious using while driving but making this as a illegal to use while drive that can cause dangers problem for the country all around the world

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against making cell phone use illegal while acknowledging the dangers of distraction. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument regarding 'emergency situations' is relevant, but the point about police workload is underdeveloped and lacks logical depth. The essay tends to over-generalize, and the reasoning is occasionally repetitive. To improve, you should provide more nuanced arguments and ensure each point is fully supported with clear, logical explanations rather than just stating that a law would be 'dangerous' or 'difficult to handle'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'furthermore' and 'however', they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that makes the flow mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'that what i use phone that is illegal to use'. The paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear logical flow, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument consistently.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'dangerous', 'problem', and 'case'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'illegal action for people' instead of 'banning the use of cell phones' and 'emergency problem'. Spelling errors are also frequent (e.g., 'wheather', 'dangerious', 'suscced', 'withthin'). To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary and use it with greater precision, while also paying closer attention to spelling and standard collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('accident is been increased'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, such as 'Now a days road accident is been increased from past days, news in media and traffic jam in highway due to accident can seen all the time.' While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. You need to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors.
