Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this technological era, mobile phones are widely used by the people while doing any kind of routine work. Subsequently, socialist use their phone while driving which leads to numerous road accidents nowadays. I am highly agreed that there should be prohibition on the usage of phone while driving.
To begin with, it is very imperative to be attentive when driving any kind of vehicle for personal wellbeing as well as the safety of surrounding. To explain it more, electrical gadget plays the role of distraction in human life due to number of reasons such as social media and phone calls. Sometimes, people communicate with others when driving and they disobey the traffic rules because of less attention on roads. Moreover, in uncertain situation youth drives carelessly if they see aggressive and violent content on cell phones. For example, majority of road accidents occurred due to the use of mobiles while driving. Thus, the mental presence is crucial when driving as it is the matter of ample lives.
It seems to me that the usage of mobile phones should be banned so that they cannot get distracted. Although sometimes it helps in navigation still it has harmful impacts. Government should take serious measures against the violation of traffic rules majorly on using phones by giving high price plenties. For instance, recently the law was introduced that using cellphones while waiting on red lights could be fined.
In conclusion, I believe that usage of phones while driving has lot of drawbacks which cannot be neglected so it is important to avoid using mobiles during the driving.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of banning cell phone use while driving. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of distraction and the need for government intervention. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'aggressive and violent content' is a bit tangential and not fully linked to the core issue of distraction. While the position is consistent, the supporting points could be more thoroughly explored to reach a higher band. The conclusion is brief but effectively summarizes the main stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Subsequently, socialist use their phone,' where the word choice is confusing. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother in the second paragraph. Overall, the progression of ideas is logical, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'socialist' instead of 'motorists' or 'society members,' and 'high price plenties' instead of 'heavy fines.' The student attempts to use some academic vocabulary, but the misuse of terms occasionally hinders clarity. To improve, the student should focus on learning collocations related to traffic and law enforcement rather than relying on general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with article usage ('the safety of surrounding'), subject-verb agreement ('electrical gadget plays'), and pluralization ('lot of drawbacks'). Punctuation is mostly functional, but some sentences are slightly clunky. The errors do not prevent communication, but they are frequent enough to keep the score in the mid-range. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring accuracy in basic grammar would improve the score.
