Student answer (Band 5.5)
While driving using the mobile phone can be dangerous because a driver can easily get diverted off the road and can lead to an serious accident. I totally stand with this statement and fully agree with it and make it a illegal in the system.
To begin with, driving while using your mobile phone in your second hand a person would not have fully controls on his vehicle, as well as he could be distracted from the road, which would lead to a fatal accident. As his mind would focus more on his device and less on the road and the traffic going around. Also, the person could miss the traffic lights and hit the vehicle coming from the opposite side. The person can easily go off his lane.
Therefore, there should be strict punisment which a person never break and should be make it illegal to have a cell phone while driving the vehicle. I would like to share one of my own experience on this topic as i was doing uber eats delivery and the customer requested some extra sauses and i was looking into his text and total missed the red light but I was lucky enough not to hit any vehicle from other side of the road.
To conclude with, goverment should impliment stirct rules agains using mobile phones while driving. I agree to it that can lead to distraction easily and shoulde be banned.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of banning cell phone use while driving. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the main points regarding distraction and safety are relevant, they are somewhat repetitive and lack the depth required for a higher band. The personal example provided is a good attempt at supporting the argument, but the overall development is limited by the brevity of the response. To improve, you should expand on the consequences of distracted driving and provide more nuanced reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Also', and 'To conclude with' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transitions could be more sophisticated. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'make it a illegal in the system', where the object of the action is vague. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help improve your coherence and cohesion score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. You rely on common, sometimes imprecise phrasing, such as 'get diverted off the road' and 'make it a illegal'. There are also several spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'punisment', 'sauses', 'impliment', and 'stirct'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they do limit the sophistication of your writing. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to road safety and proofreading for common spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of your writing. Examples include 'a serious accident' (instead of 'an'), 'fully controls' (instead of 'full control'), and 'should be make it illegal' (incorrect passive voice construction). Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
