Student answer (Band 5.0)
These days without cell phone is very important in everyones life, with cell phone a person is disable, however people is very hebtual in using it evrywhere even while driving.
I fully support to this statement, every country, in whole world everyone is upgrading their life and new models are launching in the market. But the thing is one one should learn how to use this gadget. People are not thinking about their lives and others life, they put it in danger just to use this.
I agree to this because i have experinced this in my own life, i was in public transport that was a bus, everything was going good but a driver got a call from his old friend after a long time, i got to know this because i was sitting just behind the driver. He was too happy and picked the call and he was talking from last one hour and when the bus enters in the city, he was not aware properly and there was an ambulence coming from behind. He was too busy on his call he didnt get a side and one of the traffic officer noticed this and gave me ticket with huge amount. Then he relised he even put everyones life in danger.
To sum up, cell phone is very usefull object but while drivering it should be totally banned to use as driver put his/her life and even others life on road in danger.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response takes a clear position in full support of the statement, agreeing that cell phone use while driving should be made illegal. Main ideas are presented, such as the danger phones pose to drivers and pedestrians, and an extended personal anecdote is used to support the argument. However, the task achievement is hindered significantly by two factors. First, the response falls short of the minimum length requirement, containing only 245 words instead of the required 250, which incurs a penalty. Second, the development of ideas tends to be repetitive and lacks depth, focusing heavily on a single narrative example rather than exploring broader societal arguments. Consequently, the task is addressed only partially, aligning closely with Band 5 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is organized into four paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some basic structure. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the transitions between sentences and paragraphs feel mechanical or disjointed, as seen in sentences like 'These days without cell phone is very important...' and 'I agree to this because i have experinced this...'. Cohesive devices are used minimally and sometimes inaccurately, leading to run-on sentences and confusion in referencing (for example, the shift in pronouns and references in the personal anecdote). Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow of ideas often breaks down. These features are characteristic of Band 5.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and restricted in range, which heavily limits the precision of the argument. The student relies on simple words like 'good', 'happy', and 'big', alongside frequent spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'hebtual' for habitual, 'usefull' for useful, 'ambulence' for ambulance, and 'drivering' for driving. There are also notable collocation and phrasing issues, such as 'talking from last one hour' and 'gave me ticket with huge amount'. These noticeable errors and limited lexical choices cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the score from reaching a higher band, placing the response firmly at Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent and persistent errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people is very hebtual', 'driver put his/her life... in danger'), article omissions ('without cell phone', 'from old friend'), and run-on sentences joined by commas instead of proper punctuation. Tense consistency is also problematic throughout the narrative portion. Although the meaning can mostly be understood despite the errors, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies across the text restricts the score to Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
