Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a relevant position by saying phone use while driving is harmful and should be prohibited, and you offer related measures such as penalties, CCTV, driver training and licensing rules. These points show an attempt to address the issue and provide reasons. However, the response does not clearly explain the extent of your agreement, and several ideas are listed rather than developed. For example, the claim about daily deaths and the reported number of cases is not explained or supported, while the discussion shifts to speeding and inexperienced drivers without linking these clearly to phone use. State your position directly, then develop two or three relevant reasons with clear explanations or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

The response contains several relevant points, including enforcement, public awareness and licensing, but they are presented as one continuous sequence rather than organised paragraphs. As a result, the reader has difficulty seeing where one reason ends and another begins. Connections such as “so,” “and” and “that” are repeated, and some links do not clarify the relationship between ideas. For instance, the move from phone-related accidents to CCTV, then to international statistics and teenage drivers is abrupt. Use a clear introduction, separate body paragraphs for distinct reasons, and a conclusion. Within each paragraph, present one main point, explain it, and use precise linking phrases to show how the supporting detail relates.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “prohibited,” “distracted,” “enforce,” “licence” and “awareness,” and you communicate a general concern about road safety. However, the range is limited and many spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make parts difficult to understand, such as “extrema level,” “unresponsible behavior” and “over soeed.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, including “charged the challan” and “apply on all CCTV cameras.” Aim for accurate, familiar expressions before trying more complex vocabulary. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for road safety, such as “impose a fine,” “enforce traffic laws” and “raise public awareness.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

There are attempts to express cause and consequence, for example in the opening claim that phone use is dangerous and in the later discussion of rules intended to reduce accidents. However, sentence structures are very limited, and long strings of clauses are joined without clear punctuation. This makes relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Errors in sentence formation, verb forms, articles and agreement are frequent; for example, “traffic wardrn shold be attentive on their job and charged the challan” does not maintain a clear grammatical structure, and “CCTV cameras must be installs” has an incorrect verb form. Use shorter, complete sentences, with a clear subject and verb, and practise basic clause patterns before combining ideas with “because,” “which” or “therefore.”
