Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, people are more into social devices that they are using it while driving which leads them into a life threatning situation. In that condition mobile phone should be ban when driving. I am copmletely agree with that scenerio because illegal condition can causes various problems in your life.
Many individual are using cell phone without any protection like everywhere even when driving a vehicle. Most of the time people are on call when they are driving and do their work on there way to office in that condition they become distracted and causes any damage for themselves as well as for others. I had also experience an accident when I am way to my work, a bus driver is on call while driving and did not see my direction and eventually, crashes into my car which causes severe damage to me as well as my vehicles. So in that case, people are easily get distracted while driving and we must take action on it.
In my perspective, legal superviosr should ban the phones while driving and took heavy action on those who breaks the rule. A special force should be provided by the ministry, so they make strict rules and regulation, because there are alot of schools and workplaces present on heavy traffice side which are more prone to accidents, thats why people are more consious when they are driving.
In conclusion, phone calls during driving is the main reason for major accidents because people can easily get distracted, Therefore, implementation of strict rules is more important which avoid these scenerio.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you completely agree that phone use while driving should be illegal, and you give relevant reasons, including distraction and the risk to other road users. The personal account of a bus driver crashing into your car is a concrete example that supports your argument. You also address enforcement by proposing penalties and a special force. However, some points are less fully developed: the claim about schools and workplaces near busy roads is not clearly connected to how a ban would reduce danger, and the consequences or practical details of enforcement are not explained. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation of how it supports your position, and keep the focus on the proposed ban throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs on the danger and enforcement, and a conclusion that restates your view. The accident example is placed in the paragraph about distraction, which helps the reader follow your reasoning. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and links can feel mechanical. For example, “So in that case” repeats the point rather than showing how the example leads to a specific conclusion. The sentence beginning “A special force should be provided” moves from enforcement to schools and workplaces without a clear connection. Use topic sentences to signal each paragraph’s main point, and make the relationship between supporting details explicit. Clearer referencing and fewer repeated transitions would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “distracted,” “accident,” “heavy action,” and “strict rules and regulation,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less precise, such as “social devices,” “life threatning situation,” “legal superviosr,” and “heavy traffice side.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “do their work on there way to office.” Aim for accurate topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. Replacing broad or awkward phrases with terms such as “mobile phone use,” “road safety enforcement,” and “busy roads” would make your argument clearer and more appropriate for an IELTS essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses linked with “because” and “which,” and the reader can usually understand your main point. However, control is inconsistent, particularly with agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “Many individual are using” needs plural agreement, while “people are easily get distracted” combines incompatible verb forms. In “I am copmletely agree,” the verb pattern is incorrect; use “I completely agree.” The account of the accident also shifts between past and present forms, making the sequence harder to follow. Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement and keep verb tense consistent when describing past events.
