Student answer (Band 5.0)

Operating a Mobile phone while driving is dangerous for driver as well as other people also,it cause driver distracted. Therefore cell phone use by drivers should be made illegal. In my point of I am partically agree with this statement, nowadays mobile phone is very important thing for everyone's life.Although it is vital thing but while driving using a phone is dangerous for driver might be chances of accidents, death, damge vehicales.

The first and foremost reason for my support to this statment is, as somebody is drivig their fully consentartion should be roads and whiile they are useing phone during driving might be chances of any accident. as driver is using phone he's mind not fully consentrate on road and driving this thing lead to trauma. Apartfom this, in some case people lost their life because this and it is not good driver as well as their family members. For example, while driving talking on phone driver is not fully focus on driving this thing leads to accident. In some case people lost their life and their family member file case aginest driver for compensation and it is huge amount of money; this thing directly effect drivers family member as finacial burden.

On the other side, there are some benefits of using phone while driving. For example, we can use phone for find the location, like using mape app is good for driver to guide the location while driving.

In concluson, although there some benefits of usig phone while driving but also it has disadvantage of using phone beacuse it is dangerous for drivers as well as local public.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic and give a position, saying you “partically agree,” then mention both the danger of phone use and a possible benefit: using a map app. However, the extent of your agreement is not fully clear, and the response mainly develops the risks rather than explaining when or why phone use should be illegal. The accident example repeats the general claim and does not provide a specific situation or evidence; the compensation point is also not clearly connected to your argument. To strengthen the response, state your position precisely and explain whether hands-free use or navigation should be treated differently, supporting each main point with a relevant example. The conclusion should reinforce that same position rather than simply repeat that there are advantages and disadvantages.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph about risks, a paragraph presenting a benefit, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “The first and foremost reason,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined in long strings, making the relationship between them difficult to follow. For example, the discussion of accidents, deaths, legal cases, and financial burden moves quickly without clear explanation. Some linking phrases are repeated or used mechanically. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain it and give a focused example; use clear sentence boundaries and references so readers can follow how each detail supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “distracted,” “accident,” “compensation,” and “financial burden,” and you attempt to express consequences beyond the immediate danger. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “fully consentartion,” “find the location,” and “local public”; more natural choices would be “full attention,” “find a route,” and “members of the public.” Spelling errors such as “damge,” “vehicales,” and “concluson” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate phrases for road safety and legislation, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This will make your argument clearer and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, including a concession beginning “Although it is vital thing” and a conditional idea about phone use leading to accidents. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation can make the reader work to understand the message. For instance, “it cause driver distracted” needs a correctly formed verb and complement, while “there are some benefits” is followed by an example whose sentence structure is incomplete. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “although,” “because,” and “if.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
