Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent Era ,some people believes that government should pay cost and grants for running universities, so that education will be free for everyone who deserves. To some extent it is true and I am strongly agreed on this perspective .For instance, needy and poor learners who can not able to proceed their higher education .
First of all it is the foremost responsibility of government to facilitate all public universities to enroll student on merit and free of cost all the expenses. .Ultimately, it will impact as positive initiative on deserving students who can not afford high fees to pursue higher education . For example, my cousin who belongs to a mediocre background her father has passed away , she can't proceed her degree , if there is an opportunity of free education over universities she may definitely complete her degree .
Secondly, government can mitigate this problem by introducing different Quota system, scholarships ,grants ,free for instance when I passed my intermediate my father was sick and I was not in position to pursue my education as graduation so one of prestigious college of our city announces free education only for those students got up to 75% in their intermediate examination. Thus, I found it as an good opportunity and got admission over there and fortunately, I graduated in 2016.
All in all, it is the responsibility of government and public bodies to allot grants to universities for promoting free education so any learner who want to educated over any higher institute can avail it .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of government-funded university education. The ideas are relevant, focusing on accessibility for needy students and the role of government. However, the development is somewhat limited; the arguments rely heavily on personal anecdotes rather than broader societal or economic analysis. While the position is consistent, the supporting points could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of discussion is restricted by the reliance on individual examples rather than a more balanced exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First of all', 'Ultimately', and 'Secondly', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the internal structure of sentences sometimes suffers from awkward phrasing, which occasionally disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the relationship between sentences is more seamless.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choice, such as 'mediocre background' (likely meaning 'modest' or 'low-income') and 'proceed their higher education' (should be 'pursue'). Some phrases are repetitive, and there is a lack of sophisticated collocations. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and the errors in word choice occasionally draw attention to the language rather than the content.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('some people believes'), article usage ('the government' vs 'government'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. For example, 'For instance, needy and poor learners who can not able to proceed their higher education' is an incomplete thought. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall clarity and fluency of the writing. More attention to basic syntax and proofreading is necessary.
