Student answer (Band 6.0)
I agree that the government should pay the costs of running universities so that a university education will be free for anyone who wants it, because if we talk about those universities that are not owned by the government, they have high fees but have a good education system, as if we talk about government universities, they have low fees and also have a good education system.
Moreover, students coming from small towns or the middle class they can't afford too many fees, but want to study in good universities. also, the private sectors universties have diiferent rules and regualtions from public universites , like most of of the universities which are not owned by government having so much drugs, not well structred departmnet to control over the students . most of people entered the university illegally. Also getting fake certificates. Due to which it effects educations sutsem.in private universities, attendance is not mandatory, no strictness, due to which students did take their studies seriously.
However, if government start own the universities, they will start controlling their youth and stop them to gowng wronf way. As in public universities there are strict regulations and well structures department. Students take their studies seriously and attend lectures to complete their sentence. I want to share personal examples here, like i seen in my area students who are going to private universities are not serious regarding their student but students who are going to public universities are serious.
In conclusion, I would say that if the government starts a college university system, it is good for education, as they can start so many beneficial programs for the students and helps to success and grow in their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of government-funded universities. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you provide reasons such as accessibility for middle-class students and concerns about private sector standards, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and rely on generalizations, such as the claim that private universities are inherently associated with drugs or illegal activity. To improve, focus on providing more balanced, objective arguments and ensure that your supporting points are logically connected to the main thesis rather than relying on anecdotal evidence or unsubstantiated claims about private institutions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'due to which' and 'also'. Transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, making the flow feel disjointed. For example, the jump from discussing fees to discussing the internal regulations of private universities lacks a smooth logical bridge. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'complete their sentence' (likely meaning 'complete their studies') and 'gowng wronf way'. Spelling errors are frequent, including 'diiferent', 'regualtions', 'structred', and 'departmnet'. These errors occasionally make the text difficult to read. To improve, focus on expanding your academic vocabulary and proofreading your work to correct basic spelling and collocation errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'if government start own'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'students did take their studies'), and punctuation errors. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, which hinders clarity. For example, the first sentence is a long, run-on structure that lacks proper punctuation. To improve, practice using a mix of simple and complex sentences correctly and pay closer attention to verb tenses and article usage.
