Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is generally believed by individuals that study should be free for people in university which will be funded by government. I agree with this notion and I will discuss some arguments points in forthcoming paragraphs.
To commence with the predominant reason behind this thinking is that many poor folks children will get educated. To be more precise, plethora of children remain uneducated because they can't afford their education. To conclude, literacy rate will increase by doing this. Furthermore, unemployment will decrease if government will enact this rule. This is to say, number of mankind are not working because they not go for studying. Consequently, young generation can contribute to the world by doing much better after getting good education in this contemporary era.
To begin with, another main reason advantages for this rule is crime will be less. To explain this, a number of adult do crime the particular reason for this issue is they not have any earning. In result, they have to do crime for food and survival. For example, survey took place to investigate why people are unemployed then 90 percent of individuals answered they not have money to get education.
To sum up, I agree to this view point with great extend as this will help our generation to achieve more and unemployment as well as crime will rapidly decrease.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free university education. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the main arguments regarding literacy, unemployment, and crime are relevant, they are under-developed and lack sufficient depth or specific, illustrative examples. The 'survey' mentioned is vague and lacks context. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by the brevity of the content. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'To sum up', they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately, such as starting a paragraph with 'To begin with' when it is the second body paragraph. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences feels somewhat disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'poor folks children' and 'number of mankind', which are unnatural and imprecise. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'arguments points' and 'to great extend'. To improve, focus on learning more academic collocations and precise terminology. Avoid informal or awkward phrasing and try to incorporate a wider variety of vocabulary related to education and socio-economic issues to demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include missing articles ('by government'), subject-verb agreement errors ('a number of adult do crime'), and incorrect verb forms ('they not have any earning'). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and article usage, before attempting more complex structures.
