Student answer (Band 5.0)

Education is more important for everybody so,here am going talk about university education some peopl think that government should pay for students study for their study here am partaily

Agree with this statement so i will discuss my views incoming paragraphs.

Education plays vital role in everyone's life so I would say that government should pay to education universities for students So that everyone can get good education for making bright their future.

There are lots of students who wants well education but due to financially problems they can not get it .As a example the last month i met with one student who was working as shopkeeper when i talked with him then he shared his story with me about his family situation then as a result i understood lots of students have same issues so government should help those students who deserve better education .

The other hand lots of students do misuse of those universities which are provide free education because they does not care about classrooms and other equipments which helps in their study .As a example last week i talked with my uncle he is teaching as a professor at collage he told me their college have so many problems which are created by some students .

In conclusion government should help only those students who really want good education .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the pros and cons of free university education, but it fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While a position is stated, the arguments are underdeveloped and rely on anecdotal evidence rather than broader analysis. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more depth and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and often mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'As a example'. Transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and the logical flow within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'however'). The paragraphing is present but the internal cohesion is weak, making the progression of ideas feel somewhat disjointed.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'good', 'help', and 'problems'. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'making bright their future' instead of 'brightening their future' or 'ensure a bright future'. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary and demonstrate more precise control over word choice. Avoid repeating the same phrases and try to use more academic synonyms to express your ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'students who wants', 'they does not care'), missing articles, and awkward sentence structures. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often grammatically incorrect or poorly punctuated. The range of structures is limited, and the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors will be essential for improvement.
