Student answer (Band 4.5)

I would like to agree for related subject of university education cost if government will bear all these costs of university, so education level & quality are uniform for everyone all rich & poor student stay on same line & same level no one have power issue. after this we can see clear difference in education because after this no favoritism only smart student can perform on best way because now they are free for fee tension how they can arrange or how they parents can arrange they already living very difficult life & struggling in his/her life and other expenses also they cannot afford easily after then there is another tension of studies including fee in these cases genuine student cannot perform as per hir requirement but some student are very talented after these all struggles they are the one best toppers but it's not easy like a piece of cake in short if government can provide free education system or scholarships faculty for all those students or there parents who cannot afford education expenses so governments should take a decision so they can get easily good education as we knows every parent or some children's has a dream to get a good education. most of the countries are doing this job very well. but some countries have no option of this because maybe have some internal or external issue but if especially poor countries government support to the students for education. after then that country student also can help for change life ecomoy through there vision.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of government-funded university education. However, the development of ideas is limited. The essay relies on repetitive arguments regarding financial hardship and equality without exploring broader implications or counter-arguments. The ideas are somewhat underdeveloped, and the structure lacks a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. While the position is consistent, the lack of depth and the informal, stream-of-consciousness style prevent a higher score. To improve, you should organize your response into distinct paragraphs, each focusing on a specific reason supported by concrete examples or logical explanations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response is written as a single, long paragraph, which significantly hinders readability and logical progression. There is a lack of cohesive devices; sentences are often linked by simple conjunctions like 'and' or 'but' or run-on without punctuation. The flow of ideas is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. To improve, you must use paragraphing to separate your introduction, main points, and conclusion. Additionally, incorporate a wider range of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') to connect your ideas more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on informal phrasing such as 'piece of cake' and 'stay on same line'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'power issue' and 'hir requirement'. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and government policy (e.g., 'tuition fees', 'socio-economic barriers', 'subsidized'). Avoid colloquialisms and strive for more formal, academic language to better suit the task requirements.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles, incorrect verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'every parent or some children's has a dream'). The sentence structure is largely repetitive and lacks complexity; many sentences are run-on, lacking necessary punctuation to separate independent clauses. This makes the text difficult to read and understand at times. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring each sentence has a clear subject and verb. Practice using complex sentences with subordinating conjunctions and pay closer attention to punctuation, particularly full stops to separate distinct thoughts.
