Student answer (Band 5.0)
Education is a backbone of a nation. There are some people who feel that the government should pay the costs of running universities, as a result a university education will be free for anyone who wants it. I definitely argue that government should do this.
There are many kinds of benefits if government do this. In instance, people who didn't able to go universities for their financial crisis they get a better opportunity to admit an universities. Moreover, some universities want highly tuition fees to their students so thar there are many kinds of students who didn't go universities for highly cost so that some students don't afford this. It will be removed if government take this decision as a result students can back in universities and continue their study.
On the other hand, for the reasons of tuition fees if the students didn't go university, they will be affected by drugs and can do different kinds of work against government. As a result education proportion can declined significantly. Moreover, if the government pay costs of running universities, many students can able to go universities who didn't continue their study for their financial crisis and continue their study freely and this is the positive impact for every nation.
In conclusion, i supported that government should pay the costs which universities are running and an make a environment for the students that they can able to free university education who wants it and it will be more beneficial for every students.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of free university education. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention financial barriers and the potential for social issues like drug use, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the claim that students who cannot afford university will turn to 'work against government' is an unsupported generalization that lacks logical progression. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasoning, perhaps discussing the economic implications for the state or the long-term benefits of a highly educated workforce, rather than repeating the same points about financial crisis in every paragraph.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into four paragraphs, which is a good structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'In instance' (instead of 'For instance') and 'as a result' are used repetitively and sometimes incorrectly. The logical flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as in the second paragraph where the transition between tuition fees and student attendance is unclear. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that builds upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate to convey your meaning, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'kinds of,' 'go,' and 'do.' There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'education proportion can declined' (should be 'education levels may decline') and 'highly tuition fees' (should be 'high tuition fees'). To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate a broader range of vocabulary, including less common academic collocations and more precise terminology related to the topic of education and government policy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('government do this'), incorrect verb forms ('didn't able to go'), and awkward sentence structures ('many students can able to go'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often marred by errors, such as 'so thar there are many kinds of students who didn't go universities for highly cost.' You need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the use of modal verbs, articles, and prepositions, before attempting more complex structures.
