Student answer (Band 5.0)
Education is a crucial part of everyone's life. Some individuals think that the government should pay the cost to the university for free education to get anyone who wants. I agree with this statement which I will elaborated in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, some youth are not educated due to poverty. To explain, competition and challenges are increasing day by day. Students have big dreams but financial troubles they can not get university level degree for their better future and then they are stop their studies after secondary school.
Moreover, government should pay the 50% costs to the university which is beneficial for youth. For example, In India colleges or universities give scholarship to the lower caste students however, it is not good because it shows the particality for general caste students. If lawmakers assist to all students.
It also help to reduce the stress level. For instance, In international students have lot of depressed life. They are balance their studies as well part-time work. It is hard to saves money for tuition fees some students are broke their dreams just owing to money. So, If government should pay the cost of running universities it is great thing for that students.
In conclusion, It is reburied that tution fees can reduce the stress the half level for international students, and government should pay for every categories students in small towns equally.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of government-funded university education. However, the task achievement is limited by the failure to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as the essay is only 233 words long. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat under-developed. For example, the argument regarding '50% costs' is introduced but not fully explored, and the example regarding India is slightly confusing and lacks clear connection to the main argument. To improve, you should expand on your supporting points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Moreover' are used, they are sometimes applied in a way that does not fully connect the sentences logically. The paragraphing is present, but the internal flow within paragraphs is often disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence follows logically from the previous one to create a smoother, more coherent argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. There are several instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'particality' (likely meaning partiality or bias) and 'reburied' (likely meaning required). The range of vocabulary is limited, and the essay relies on simple, everyday language. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more academic vocabulary and precise collocations. For instance, instead of using 'big dreams' or 'depressed life', try to use more formal expressions that convey your meaning with greater sophistication and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'government should pay... it is great thing for that students'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they are stop their studies'), and awkward sentence construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound before attempting more complex forms.
