Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, educational expenses are very high due to which some people are unable to persue their field of eductation. While some believe that their should be zero fees for the university education. I support this notion owing to the fact that it diminish the poverty and enhance the country growth. This essay will illustrate the reason for the agreeing with this idea.

First important reason is, it increases overall growth of the country. All the citizens would be educated if college studies would be of no cost. Consequently, province will achieve higher literacy rate. This idea leads to people working effeiciently in all sector around the world. For example, if all individuals get educated they start working in their study related work which reduce unemployment rate. Hence country overall growth in all field will be confirmed.

Another key point is, it ends poverty from the globe. Education help people of any level to grow, this mostly benefit to poverty striken individuals. They are far from good education due to lack of money. For instance, free university education will assist them to grow in personal and professional life. Resultantly, impoverishment will be destroyed from the earth.

In my opinion, education has no boundries for any people irrespective of their wealth. It helps everyone to grow in life and this tends to grow their country while reducing poverty rate.

In conclusion, studing university without paying a penny will help everyone to grow and set a standard of country by helping country to develop. Poverty will be erased if every person will get chance to study.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear and consistent position in support of free university education funded by the government. The main ideas, such as reducing poverty and boosting economic growth, are introduced and supported with general explanations and examples. However, the development remains somewhat repetitive and broad, particularly in the body paragraphs where concepts like national growth and the elimination of poverty are restated rather than deeply extended. For instance, stating that 'impoverishment will be destroyed from the earth' overgeneralises the impact of the policy. While the position is clear and the arguments are relevant, the level of development and support aligns best with a Band 6.5 or solid Band 6, meeting the requirements for Band 6 fully by addressing the prompt with a clear stance and relevant ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organised into logical paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, an opinion statement, and a conclusion. There is an overall logical progression, moving from economic growth to poverty reduction. Cohesive devices are used to connect ideas, such as 'First important reason is', 'Consequently', and 'Another key point is'. However, some cohesive transitions feel slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'This essay will illustrate the reason for the agreeing with this idea' and 'Hence country overall growth in all field will be confirmed.' Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points, but referencing and referencing chains are occasionally unclear. Overall, the structural flow is coherent enough to meet the Band 6 descriptor criteria.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'impoverishment', 'literacy rate', and 'unemployment rate'. However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'persue' (pursue), 'eductation' (education), 'diminish' (diminishes), 'effeiciently' (efficiently), 'poverty striken' (poverty-stricken), 'boundries' (boundaries), and 'studing' (studying). These errors reflect a lack of precision in word choice and spelling, although communication is generally not impeded. Because the vocabulary attempts are noticeable in their inaccuracy while still fulfilling the task requirements, the performance fits the Band 5.5 to 6 range, comfortably landing at Band 5.5 due to the frequency of spelling and word-formation errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if college studies would be of no cost') and subordinate clauses ('owing to the fact that it diminish'). However, there are frequent grammatical inaccuracies, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement and article usage. Examples include 'their should be zero fees', 'it diminish the poverty', 'country overall growth in all field will be confirmed', and 'Education help people'. Punctuation errors are also present, such as unnecessary comma splices and missing commas. While the writer attempts complex structures, the high frequency of grammatical slips places this response firmly in the Band 5.5 category, as errors occasionally cause some minor difficulty for the reader.
