Some people feel that the government should pay the costs of running universities so that a university education will be free for anyone who wants it.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary world, it has been often an argued if cost involved in running a universities should be borne by the government. This will make education free for all the students. I completely agree to this notion. This essay will demonstrate the key reasons for this viewpoint.

One company reason is that the administration collects various taxes from general public annually. These taxes include income tax, property tax or tax collected on each purchase. made in everyday life. This money collected must be invested in smooth continuity of universities and make education fully funded for all the taxpayers in return.For instance, in Italy, there are numerous schools and universities which are funded by the government which allows Italian and international students have fully funded courses.

Another evident reason is that there are many students who do not belong to financially stable families. Some students are orphans, which restrict their ability to afford lump sum universities fees. Making university education subsidized, will let the underprivileged kids to achieve their dreams by studying the courses, which interest them. For example, a recent article has been published in india discussing about an orphan girl who studied in government school for free and later completed her university from subsides and has become a collector presentimg her as a motivation to various other girls .

To conclude, i believe education must be free and be funded by the government irrespective of any factor as income or financial stability as everyone pays taxes and free education helps to make talented students shine irrespective of hardships pertaining in life.
