Student answer (Band 5.5)
Majority of the people think that their taxes must go to active universities for everyone to access their academics freely. In my view, I agree that the government should focus putting these taxes to more acessible education.
University education is far more important for everyone, who wants to achieve their dreams. Giving society free access to their education will help improve their economics. For instance, when their local country is lack of medical experiences and technological problems that can only learn from those 1st world countries. Letting their people go to those foreign countries to sponsor their academics to be able to learn an extended knowledge from those advance economy, will help improve economic problems. Additonally learning from those improve technologies will help pass down the knowledge to future generations.
However, letting them experienced the advance and fast-paced life requires them to learn the International language. Most of people can learn foreign languages easily, but for some may require some years to use or speak the language. Also, after learning and adapted the life, they have the rights to choose if they want to return to help their behind country and pass the knowledge they have learned, or they can stay due to some reasons, they have experienced the life they are dreaming and continue to improve their career.
In conclusion, the government mut spend the taxes to more accessible university and support their people' education, either local or international. Even if their society left behind or improve because of free education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear in the introduction and conclusion: you support government funding to make university education more accessible. You also give relevant reasons, including improving a country’s economy and sharing knowledge with future generations. However, the response only partly develops the question of whether university should be free for anyone who wants it. The discussion of studying abroad, language learning, and whether graduates return home shifts attention away from who should pay and how universal free access would work. The economic benefits are asserted rather than explained with a specific example. To strengthen the response, address the costs and possible limits of public funding, then develop one or two reasons with clearer explanation and relevant evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The paragraphs also have broad purposes: benefits of education, then challenges and choices after studying. However, progression is not consistently clear. The second body paragraph begins with “However,” but language learning and graduates’ decisions do not clearly oppose the preceding economic benefits or address the funding question. Some references, such as “their behind country,” are difficult to follow, and the conclusion’s final contrast between society being “left behind or improve” does not clearly summarise the argument. Use topic sentences that directly connect each paragraph to your position, and make links between ideas explicit rather than relying mainly on “For instance,” “Additionally,” and “However.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “accessible education,” “economic problems,” “technologies,” and “future generations.” There is also some effort to use less common expressions, such as “fast-paced life” and “extended knowledge.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear: “active universities,” “improve their economics,” and “advance economy” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “acessible,” “Additonally,” and “mut” are noticeable. Aim for precise, conventional academic phrases and check spelling; for example, explain how public funding can “expand access” or “strengthen the workforce” rather than using unclear combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “when their local country…” and a sentence about graduates choosing whether to return home. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. Examples include “who wants to achieve their dreams,” where the pronoun does not agree with “everyone,” and “when their local country is lack of medical experiences,” which has an incomplete grammatical pattern. In “Most of people can learn,” the article is missing, while “they have the rights to choose” has an agreement error. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate clauses and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms.
