Student answer (Band 5.5)
Education is a privilege for those who can afford it and reep the rewards from it. In a majority of countries, the education sector is progressively going in the hands of private sector. As a result, it is a difficult for an average person or below average student to afford the fees of colleges and universities. Considering this concern, some proportion of people believes that the selected ruling party should centeralised the education sector to turn it free of charge. As per me perspective, the sole control should be in the hands of government.
Getting a quality eduaction is a dream of all parents and their childrens. Therefore, the affordability should not become an obstacle to achieve the bassic necessity of life. In real world, the authorisation is fastly going in the hands of private sector who are bearing the expenses of running the universities which ultimately they are charging from students. As the motive of private sector is making profits either by charging more or by saving more. On the other hand, the success of government is measured by how satisfied the citizens of country are? It solely depends upon whether the common people have access to all the basic amenities of life or not. Fortunately, education comes in the funadmental category. Being aware of the fact, nothing should be charged from the students.
Meanwhile, all the expenditures being made in the country under the name of social or infrastructural development are coming from the taxes that have been charged from them at different times. Conclusively, why it should not be spent at the demanding field? Those people who are living under the curse of below poverty line, the only method to come out of this vicious cycle is education. Predominantly, it aids in awareness of how one could be benefitted from doing best in studies. Furthermore, the gained knowledge becomes an asset for the person for a life long in order to earn a living.
Overall, the selected ruling party should invest the generated funds in the field demanded by the majority of population in order to run effectively and efficiently.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you support government control and free university education, and you give relevant reasons, including equal access, the use of tax revenue, and education as a route out of poverty. These points address the question, and the explanation of how education can help people earn a living is relevant. However, some parts are less fully developed than others. For example, the claim that private providers charge more to make profits is asserted rather than supported with a specific example, and the final paragraph repeats your recommendation without adding much justification. To strengthen the response, explain how free tuition could be funded or acknowledge a possible drawback, then show why your position remains preferable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces your view, develops reasons in separate paragraphs, and ends with a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “As a result,” “On the other hand,” and “Furthermore” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are crowded together, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “As the motive of private sector is making profits” is left as a dependent fragment, while “Meanwhile” does not clearly connect the tax argument to the preceding discussion. The conclusion also largely repeats the introduction. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each example directly to its claim, and make references such as “it” and “them” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “affordability,” “basic amenities,” “vicious cycle,” and “infrastructural development.” This gives you resources to discuss access, public spending, and poverty. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “education sector is progressively going in the hands,” “selected ruling party,” and “the curse of below poverty line” are awkward or imprecise. There are also misspellings such as “ree p,” “eduaction,” and “funadmental.” Aim for simpler, precise expressions where needed, and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, use “increasingly controlled by private providers” rather than “going in the hands of private sector.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “As a result,” “Therefore,” and “in order to.” Some sentences communicate your meaning clearly, such as the explanation that education can help people escape poverty. However, control is uneven, and faulty sentence construction and agreement sometimes interrupt the flow. “As the motive of private sector is making profits either by charging more or by saving more” is a fragment, and “some proportion of people believes” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Other examples include “the affordability should not become an obstacle to achieve” and the question-form punctuation in “are?” within a statement. Practise complete clause structures, agreement, articles, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
