Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that government should bear the complete cost of ongoing collges so that education will free of cost for everyone who wants. I am partially agree with this statement as this decision will effect to normal people at the end. In upcoming peragraphs I'll discuss this topic with my opinion.
To commence with the quality of education may effect if the cost will fully taken away by government for running universities. For example, delivery of education may effect by increase the number of students based on free education. Teachers may not bother to focuse on week students, which increse the pressure on professors as well as students for positive results instead of understading what they are studying. This can impact overall result of university and reduce the popularity of education firm.
On the other side, this decicion will impact the normal population pocket anyhow. For instance, reduction in cost of education will indirectly impact the increase the financial burdarn in face of tax which population has to be paid at the end. In result it may leads to a huge impact to economy.
In my opinion, free education can be offered for only those candidates who are deserving or needy in the form of scholarship or rewards instead of taking care of whole university. This motivates the new generation for study hard and as result a positive impact on economy by contrituting after getting wealthy jobs, hike in employment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is identifiable: you partly disagree with fully government-funded universities and favour scholarships for people who need or deserve support. You also give relevant reasons, including possible pressure on teaching quality and the tax burden on the public. However, these points are not developed evenly: the effect of larger student numbers on teaching is asserted rather than explained, and the economic consequence is only briefly stated. The response is also 8 words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. To strengthen the response, explain how each consequence would occur and add a specific example, while making your degree of agreement clearer in the conclusion and throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting concerns, and a final paragraph proposing scholarships. Linking phrases such as “To commence with,” “On the other side,” and “In my opinion” help signal the direction of the discussion, and the reader can follow the main argument. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some progression. However, the transitions sometimes feel formulaic, and connections within paragraphs are not always clear—for example, the move from free education to teachers neglecting weaker students needs an explicit explanation. The final paragraph also introduces a solution without fully linking it back to the earlier arguments. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and develop each paragraph around one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “financial burden,” “scholarship,” “employment,” and “economy.” These choices communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “collges,” “burdarn,” “contrituting,” and “education firm”; the last phrase is also an unnatural way to refer to a university or higher education. Repeated use of broad terms such as “impact” and “cost” limits precision. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise expressions for funding, access, and teaching quality would make your ideas clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including “For example, delivery of education may effect by increase the number of students” and the sentence beginning “In my opinion.” This shows an effort to express cause and consequence, but the range remains limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Some errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction interfere with clarity: “I am partially agree” should be “I partially agree,” while “it may leads” needs “it may lead.” In “the cost will fully taken away,” the verb phrase is incomplete. Practise building accurate clauses with modal verbs and passive forms, then check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
