Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's world education plays vital role in everyone's life. Some individual argue that cost of education for universities should be covered by government so that even those who cannot afford will also get chance to learn their desire major. I totally agree with this statement for various reasons . Some of the irrevelant reasons are discussed below.
Firstly, Everyone has right to education . Even it is said so , most people in rural areas could not receive education due to their financial conditions. As we already know how expensive the fee structure for university is.
Moreover, In Canada, till high school expenses for student is covered by government but after that one should look after their self . As students need to focus more on their studies and also work by side to support themselves . There is too much pressure on them of both of being educated and managing their finances. For instance, Most of the students have classes for 5 days a week and some how still need to work overnight so that they can continue studying .
Furthermore, If the government take responsibility of the tuition fee for university , students should not be worried about working extras for supporting themselves for education . Everyone gets equal tught for education and also main they do not need to gamble their time and effort for earning rather than learning.
In conclusion, i support the view that government should be more concerned about student future and look after the expenses till they graduated as after that they can repay the government. But for now the mental health and energy of student is more importantand to ensure that government should do something.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you state, “I totally agree,” and return to this view in the conclusion. You address relevant reasons, including unequal access for people with limited finances and the pressure on students who must work while studying. The Canada example also helps connect the argument to a real context. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that everyone has a right to education needs a clearer link to why public funding is the best way to secure that right. The final suggestion that graduates could repay the government also introduces a new policy idea without explaining how it would work. Develop each main reason with a fuller explanation or specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” make the main stages easy to follow, and the conclusion restates your position. Some connections between ideas are less clear, however. The Canada example moves from school funding to university costs, but the relationship between these points could be explained more explicitly. The phrase “Some of the irrevelant reasons are discussed below” also conflicts with the relevant arguments that follow. Within paragraphs, several ideas are joined in long sentences, making the progression harder to track. Use topic sentences to identify each paragraph’s central reason, then connect each example directly to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “financial conditions,” “fee structure,” “mental health,” and “tuition fee.” However, the range and control are limited by repeated general words such as “students,” “education,” and “government,” as well as inaccurate or unnatural expressions. For instance, “work by side” and “gamble their time and effort” do not express your intended meaning naturally, while “irrevelant” appears to mean “relevant” in context. Spelling and word-form errors such as “tught” and “importantand” also distract the reader. Build a more precise vocabulary for costs, access, and student workload, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “If the government take responsibility … students should not be worried” and a reason introduced by “so that.” Meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries reduce accuracy. Examples include “education plays vital role” (missing an article), “Some individual argue” (agreement and plural form), and “the government take responsibility” (verb agreement). In “students … work by side to support themselves,” the sentence pattern is also awkward, and several sentences contain comma or spacing problems. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and articles, and divide long sentences where they contain several separate ideas.
